Hakeem Olajuwon was a beast.....

The guy is the perfect example of a player who carried a shitty team into the finals enroute to a title win.
Just look at what he had in 1994 compared to what Duncan had in 2003....

Hakeem Olajuwon 27.3ppg 11.9rpg 3.6apg 3.7bpg
Otis Thorpe 12.0ppg 10.9rpg 2.3apg 0.3bpg
Vernon Maxwell 13.6ppg 3.1rpg 5.1apg 0.3bpg
Kenny Smith 9.8ppg 1.8rpg 4.2apg 0.1bpg
Robert Horry 9.9 ppg 5.4rpg 2.9apg 0.9bpg

No one on their bench with double figure scoring

Tim Duncan 23.3ppg 12.9rpg 3.6apg 2.7bpg
David Robinson 10.5ppg 11.5rpg 3.3apg 0.0bpg
Tony Parker 15.5ppg 2.8rpg 5.6apg 0.1bpg
Malik Rose 10.4ppg 9.4rpg 2.3apg 0.7bpg
Stephen Jackson 11.1ppg 3.5rpg 2.9apg 0.5bpg

3 players on their bench with double figure scoring (Goes to show much help Tim duncan really had...)

HAKEEM OLAJUWON > TIM DUNCAN

Bullshit. He played 7 games and averaged 1.7 points and then got sent to Denver. He was not on the championship squad. Malik Rose averaged 10.4 points in the season and 9.3 points in the playoffs, troll.

You're a fucking retard. Robinson averaged 8.5ppg and Rose was the only bench player to average double figures. Jackson was a starter, dipshit. You should never be allowed to post numbers because they're always complete lies.

Hakeem vs Timmy?

How the fuck can you go wrong there? In all honesty in comparisons like this, It doesn't even matter. I'm going to go with dream b.c I'm a rockets fan but apart from that both are top 10 players of all time and nothing can diminish that.

That Is why i hate these comparisons. They bring nothing but animosity and hate up, when we can just reflect on two great players.

I mean beat him in playoff series. Remember the 95 playoffs when the Magic beat the Bulls? That same Magic team got drubbed by Hakeem's rockets in the Finals. If the Bulls and the Rockets have met, there's no question that Hakeem's Rockets can beat Jordan's Bulls.

you mean the year that Jordan played 17 regular season games and shot the worst FG% of his career?

yeah, Hakeem's Rockets would have had a great chance to have beaten the Bulls that year.

Disagree with this on all counts. Hakeem was not the best center in the NBA and Duncan was not the best PF of all time.

Duncan and Hakeem both came into the league as centers. Both Players had centers already playing for their teams. Both teams went with the twin towers, which is not a PF and center lineup. It is two centers and no PF. Both of them should be considered Centers but If you want to push for PF, Hakeem, Garnett, Gasol and others would qualify to be called such.

But to the OP, I agree with

Hakeem >> Theodore

Damn this is stupid. Duncan had a career but Hakeem was a better player. Case closed.
