Lol, I'm from Spain you dumbshit.

And is the NFL filled with large black guys? Of course. Did a lot of them come from horrible living conditions to make it? Yes. I don't see the point of making this movie.

No, I'm making a point. A lot of these guys had horrible conditions growing up. Vince Young's dad's a deadbeat and his mom a crack whore - he led his team to a national title then made the pro bowl, when's his movie coming out?

I know it's a feel good story and I'm happy for the guy, but did this really need to be a movie?

Maybe they should make a movie chronicling Ricky Williams' marijuana abuse. What a story :tu Then you'd be happy, you greasy fat fuck.

I actually agree with WD somewhat. I don't see the point in making a movie about this guy. It's a cool story and I think it's awesome what he overcame but it's not much different than any other black athlete who didn't grow up with money.
That being said I am still going to watch it.

Before you guys jump on me for being a "white trash Texan" I am half Ethiopian and half Turkish.

Aw man if I could sell to Ricky that would be icing on the cake.

It'd even be cooler than this one friend I had who sold ass tons of steriods to Dat Nguyen.

So most black athletes were homeless growing up?

Yes, but that's got nothing to do with my response. Anyone who thinks Oher's story is just a typical poor kid making it in the NFL is wrong.

A lot of people didn't watch any previews on this movie if you what he did wasn't remarkable, and movie deserving. If it wasn't a great story, or a great movie, why the hell was it sold out today in my movie theater, a week after it was released?

lol saying every black athlete grew up homeless...

lol saying every black athlete grew up homeless...Yeah, and if "white chicks" wasn't one of the great comedies of it's time, why was it the #1 movie in america? How many more of these white people save poor black kid movies are you sheep gonna see?

LMAO all the butthurt racists in this thread.....something about seeing a poor black guy go from rags to riches really pisses you guys off :lmaoAll these movies follow a similar theme. One, that black people need salvation and two, that their salvation is a white woman/man - which is inherently more racist than any of the comments in this thread.

Um..apparently one more, considering the reviews it's getting. Who gives a shit if it's been done..it's still good. Deal with it. I'm gonna see it...everyone I know who has seen it has loved it. How many times are you stupid nonconformists going to be racist about movies? You know, disagreeing with everyone doesn't make you cool.

Um..you do know this is a true story, right? It's not like the Imperial Wizard sat down and said, "You know what would be awesome? A story in which a white person saves a black person's live to make us look great...WHITE POWER!!!" It happened, dude. Michael's proud of his story. As are the people who helped him. So don't see the fucking movie..that's fine...it's doing fine without you. But there's no need to be a douchebag about it.

I'm sure that was the hidden agenda behind making a movie about Michael Oher. It couldn't possibly be a movie made to tell the cool story behind a rookie in the NFL.

Alot of other poor black athletes made it out on their own.

Its a nice story, but I've heard of far more tragic ones that should be told before this one.

Why do you think anyone that doesn't like something that is popular is simply being contrary and a "nonconformist"?

I thought it was a good movie, not great but certainly not terrible. I don't think there was anything special about his story. Why not make a movie about Loul Deng being adopted by white folks and becoming an NBA player? It's no different than that. His "parents" were just able to capitalize on the story for their own benefit.
