If the Spurs swap Dirk for Duncan in 07, then Dallas kills the Warriors in 5 and dispatches the Spurs in 6. Dirk doesn't make up for Manu's injury and the shitty supporting cast in both 08 and 09. No way Dirk gives the Spurs a better chance to beat LA in 04. I'm not sure about 06. Dallas' supporting cast was pretty awesome that series against SA.

Parker and Ginobili would compliment Dirk's game better than it compliments Duncan's game. Dirk helps spread the court out more than Duncan due to being a long distance threat allowing more room for Parker and Ginobili to operate. Bowen would really help in not forcing Dirk to have to be an internal beast. Yeah the spurs defense wouldn't be as good but their offense chemistry I think would be ideal. They would be more of an uptempo team.

Duncan with the mavs would be quite interesting as well. I think that would be a great fit as well. Duncan covers up some of mavs defensive issues and if they still had Nash would have no problems scoring.
