I am nervous as shit. This is a vital game to the Pats. If they want to stay in that race for the #2 seed in the afc, they gotta win just about every game the rest of the way.

I want the Colts to be the only undefeated team.

Then the Vikings curbstomp the Pats.

Yes. The Saints just don't impress me the way Minnesota does. But I don't really know about the Patriots meeting them in the SB. My preseason pick was San Diego and right now that looks pretty solid.

The Chargers have always been that team that is between good and elite. They have the team to take it to that level but it has yet to be shown. This could very well be the season that happens.
The Vikes are pretty damn complete. They can play d, run the ball, and Favre is playing at such a high level. Saints have a nice offense but I am not sold on their D. That will be their inevitable downfall.

If the Colts see the Chargers in the playoffs, I'm gonna cry. Not really, but seriously...what is with that damn team?
And while I'm asking questions, why is run defense so difficult for the Colts. I mean, is it really THAT much more difficult?
Maybe someone who has actually played football can shed some light on this.

I think there's still hope. I'm not optimistic, but in the AFC they've got a great shot at the SB still. When the top 2 teams in the conference are basically perennial chokers (Indy & SD) and the 3rd best team has very little playoff experience (Cincy), you've gotta give NE a pretty good shot at running the table there. Hell, I wouldn't even for one second rule out Pittsburgh making a run and getting back to the Super Bowl.

They won't have to play in the cold. They'll be at home throughout the playoffs unless they slip up late and Minny passes them, but even then Minny is a dome too so unless Ziggy's gonna import snow and giant fans and turn up the AC to max it won't be an issue there either.

Those who think the Vikings are gonna kill everyone else in the NFC are kidding themselves. 6 of their 10 wins have come against teams 4-7 or worse, 2 more were against .500 level teams (6-5 and 5-6) decided in the last seconds. One game was won by a great pass that although amazing, doesn't have a high success rate, and the other was decided by a kicker missing a 40 yard field goal.
Their only two victories against teams that are 7-4 or better were their two games against the Packers, a team that like Minnesota has had one of the weakest schedules so far with games against 4-7 teams or worse accounting for most of their wins, and additionally happens to match up horribly with Minnesota because of old corners who can't cover speed.
Even if they do win the NFC, Indy will put a whooping on that ass in the superbowl.
Vikings are easily the most overrated team in the NFL. Cupcake schedule.

It'll be interesting to see how they do against Arizona and Cincinnati in the upcoming weeks. I suspect they'll beat Arizona no problem, another team that gets wrecked by play action and matches up with them horribly. If their game against Cinci is anything like the way they've looked against the AFC so far, it should be a Cinci win.

The way the Saints are built, they were gonna beat a team like the Pats. However, I think the Vikings matchup really well personel wise with the Saints. Home field advantage for the Saints is probably their biggest advantange. Against the outside elements, going to NE or Pitt, or Cincy, its a different ball game all together. But thats the main reason I think the Saints take it all the way to the NFC championship game to meet Favre....and I think Favre wins.
