It would provide much entertainment for the NBA and spurstalk:
-Gazi would have a mental breakdown
-Lakaluva would have a field day with his threads
-Mav fans would have a meltdown
-Spur fans would exploit the moment with endless lol Mavs one liners...

Mental toughness? :lol

For a complete meltdown it would have to be the Nets winning the game with a bucket from Devin after stealing the ball from Barea. All this after the Mavs had a 25 point lead in the 3rd quarter.

In a nutshell, highly unlikely.

dirk4mvp, you have it all wrong. We didn't :cry when we lost last year in the 1st round, any knowledgeable basketball fan knew we were going nowhere given the players and injuries we had on the team. So, there was no lost opportunity there. We would have never won the LOB:lmao Let's not pretend...

Now in 2006, that one hurt because had the Spurs played in the finals we would have killed the Heat! Spurs would have curbstomped their ass. Spurs don't lose in the finals.

Unfortunately, Spurs lost in a hotly contested matchup in overtime to the Mavs, so they didn't reach the finals. Now that was sad because Spurs would have gotten the job done. So, yeah that LOB could have been ours... Now that was a sad year, I must admit. I still see images of Manu fouling Dirk:bang

But, Dirk is your hub and he's light in the heels, badfish. He himself is on record stating he can't hate an opponent. It's one thing to hold that belief, but, an entirely other matter to say it out loud. Foreign players are like that. Manu is an exception. Except one small problem. Kiki and Del Harris won't be on the bench till Friday, Tom Barrise will be coaching the Nets vs Mavs, hopefully still a disaster and Nets win. well in Harris, CDR, Lee, and Brook all play well tomorrow night, Nets can win, heck they almost beat the heat ealier this season, so I think the Nets just got to stop Mav players as much as they can and they are in the game. Noway Mavs win. They are the worse front runners in NBA history. You think they will win, they lose. Finals to Miami, 1st round to the Warriors after a 67 game season, losing to the freaken Hornets in the first round, that season the Hornets were the only team the Mavericks could have beaten and now another epic loss on the horizon. Loss written all over this one. The Mavs couldn't beat a team with 6 lousy players on the team this year. WTF!

true that I don't usually agree with you on what you say, but I agree Nets are better then their record if you have seen them play, and for the most part, this season has been pretty good for games, not a lot of blowout games, I'm really suprised actually. I have seen them with Kidd, Vince, and Jefferson lose by many more points then they have this year. And I saw them last year lose by more with Vince and Harris, so the Nets really aren't all that bad if they play hard. Should be a exciting game, Net fans are excited, we want Harris go own Kidd even if we lose:lol

I'm scared as hell of this game, but I still think we will beat them.
My prediction to how the game goes (it will be just like the Bucks game):
Game begins, Roddy is in the starting lineup. Roddy does a great job on Harris, mavs up by 13 at the end of the first.
The second quarter starts with the bench players, mavs up the lead to 17. Devin Harris comes in with about 6 minutes to play in the half. Since Roddy is on the Bench JJB guards him. Devin starts to find a little rhythm, the lead shrinks to 11 at half time.
Then Roddy starts the second half, but Devin has already got a rhythm so he is harder to stop. Lead shrinks a bit.
In the 4th quarter, When Roddy is on the bench (for no apparent reason) JJB will be torched over and over by Devin. The game could then go either way, but I think (and hope) the Mavs will pull it off.

Its just typical Carlisle being over reliant on his boy toy Barea. If he finally changes his ways this game wont be too close. I would rather have Roddy, Marion, Ross (if hes healthy), or even Kidd guard Harris instead of Barea. But we all saw what happened in the Bucks and Warriors games.

New Jersey is going to start getting the same treatment as the 1992-93 Mavericks. Everyone is going to bring their A+ game against the Nets because they don't want to be the team that loses to them.

So it's a two-headed sword. They suck and they're going to get the same effort from opposing teams as if they were a championship contender.

Although, Ill admit I thought it was gonna be closer than it was. I over estimated Devin Harris. And Kidd is playing out of his mind lately
16 points 10 assists 8 boards and 5 steals today

Ill be surprised if FkLA has the balls to show up :lmao

Not going to lie, I wouldve absolutely loved for the Mavs to have lost and to see them get ripped on here. But did I geniunely expect that to happen? Nah, Nets havent won a game for a reason simply put they suck.

I was simply trying to get a rise from you Mavs fans with my posts...yalls reactions after the win are the funniest things in this thread though. I know alot of people including myself talked shit about the Mavs losing this game (which again was more about trying to get a rise from you guys than actually expecting that to happen), but you simply beat an 0-17 team. The 'I told you so' posts after beating said 0-17 team shows the insecurities you have about your team.

ok, I have a question I saw that rookie on the name , can't remember his name for a life of me.

He is playing alright now, but he does have Kidd on his team. And Kidd makes players better to name a couple Martin, Mikki Moore, and Sean Williams, is it that way with Roddy as well if he doesn't have Kidd will he suck. I don't know how often he plays with Kidd, but I know at least one or two plays were it got me thinking that could be the case here

Nice cop out. Insecurity is your thing.

Yes he is making Roddy better. He is the real reason he can start on a 14-5 team. Not many people thought a late first round draft pick from a French league would start on this team (granted he is only starting because of injuries, but he still had to beat out some people). But thats what Jason Kidd can do for you.

So Kidd is kinda helping him along for now, but in 2-3 years Roddy will be a star in this league.

Haha, that's why Net fans use to think when we had Kidd and Marcus Williams. Then that failed, of course Williams didn't get any playing time because of Kidd, so that was part of the reason why he failed, not the whole reason though, So hopefully Roddy will work out for you guys better then the last young PG behind Kidd

LOL I'm sure everyone would have listed the mavs as the team she/he hates most if they failed to help Nets set this brand new NBA record.

no they wouldn't because no one cares about Dallas, most people I know hate Dallas. Celtics, Lakers, or now more Magic fans around these days:toast:toast:toast

Everyone likes new records son, that's the reason why we hate those who abort them.
