Tim Duncan is third (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?sort=per&qual=true&pos=all&seasonType=2&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnba %2fhollinger%2fstatistics%3fsort%3dper%26qual%3dtr ue%26pos%3dall%26seasonType%3d2) on the PER list for this season; effectively second because Chris Paul stands injured for some weeks and is expected to stay on the sideline for a few more.
Dejuan Blair is fourth (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?sort=per&qual=true&pos=rookies&seasonType=2&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnba %2fhollinger%2fstatistics%3fsort%3dper%26qual%3dtr ue%26pos%3drookies%26seasonType%3d2) on the Rookies' list and is not far behind the 2nd and 3rd on the list - PGs Darren Collison and Ty Lawson (of Hornets and Nuggets respectively).
Manu's injury ridden season notwithstanding, he has managed to be as good as fourth (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?sort=per&qual=true&pos=sg&seasonType=2&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnba %2fhollinger%2fstatistics%3fsort%3dper%26qual%3dtr ue%26pos%3dsg%26seasonType%3d2) on the list of shooting guards, surpassed only by Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade (Kevin Martin merely played 5 games).
These performances are not surprising, but there has been a fall for Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson since last year, while Matt Bonner (17.59) has managed a significant up in his PER.
