Shaquille O'Neal: Says He'll Be Ready for Playoffs

Update: Having watched Wednesday's finale in street clothes nursing a right quad contusion, O'Neal told reporters that "of course" he would be in uniform for Game 1 on Sunday, the Miami Herald reports.
Recommendation: O'Neal has been well documented as a player who believes in saving himself for the big games, and this year is no different. He is having an MVP season and has taken the Heat franchise to a level it has never seen before, yet he has been moving at a very slow pace the last few weeks to make certain he is as ready as he can be for his "season", aka the playoffs. Bruised thigh or not, Shaq will lineup against the scorching Nets and try and regain the dominance the Heat held just a few weeks ago.
