A Big man faster than snail that can rebound. Must know what the term 'box-out' means. Contract involves immediate termination if Grant Hilll outrebounds you.

I said a big man, not a pg.

Robin Lopez? I need to go back and watch some of his pre NBA play to see WTF Kerr saw in him. Maybe Kerr just watched footage of his borther and assumed he's be similar.

It's not fun playing with a big man who can rebound, better?

That makes no sense at all, Nash wants a big man that can rebound and get the ball to him ASAP. You started drinking early today?

When did he say that? All I've heard him say is he needs more "active big men" (code for a big man who can guard two players at once).

But Idk why you're so pissed off, this is the exact team you asked for. All offense, no defense, small ball where you can watch Nash rack up stats. Did you honestly expect a team starting Channing Frye and Amare to be able to rebound?

I love how the Suns have the 2 brothers that aren't nearly as good as their other brothers.

They also have Jaron Collins, but he's actually played well this year (and it's not like his brother is any good).

the problem with the Suns is that they have a great system for the regular season. They have a system where on most nights they can out run a team and beat them. Teams like the Warriors and Knicks do the same thing but they don't have Nash who was made for the system. All 3 of these teams can win by 20 against any team in the league one night, and lose to the Clippers the next. It's just the nature of that system when teams spend their shoot arounds preparing for them.

The problem is that it gets fans of the Suns hopes up to think that translates to the Playoffs. That is the real problem. When a team can spend a week preparing to stop that offense it can be shut down. It's the reason guys like D'Antoni and Don Nelson have unbelievable regular season numbers but have never coached in the Finals

Completely agree. The suns system is easy to stop with proper preparation which teams don't have time for during the regular season. This year it looks like the secret is crowd the boards... If the Suns can't get a decent amount of running, their offense can't compensate for their defense.

another thing working for these teams in the regular season is that they play a brand of ball that every player likes playing, so like last night there were times when the Cavs played right into the Suns hands by running up and down and making it like a pickup game. Doing that just helps the team the plays it every night. So when a team isn't 100% focused on playing their style, they can get caught up in the fun and find themselves down by 10-15 in minutes.

This. When it's just 1 out of 82 games, teams won't have the time or the interest to go to great depths preparing for it. Over the course of a 7 game series the other team will figure it out more and more since their season depends on beating this team.

I don't know the numbers but I would love to see the Suns record on games when they are playing a team who is on a 2nd night of a back to back or a 4 in 5 nights. Like last night the Cavs had 3 days to prepare for that, but I would imagine it would have been very close if it was a back to back even though the Suns didn't shoot well

Every .500 or better team has a good record against teams on the 2nd night of a B2B. Even with the 3 days rest I was expecting a better game, the SSOL Suns had Cleveland's number from 2005-2008 and last year the game they played when Gentry was coach was a close one. But I see you're point that if a team has less time to prepare for the Suns it'll kill them.

I agree with everything you said except for lumping Don Nelson in with Mike D'Antoni. Well, maybe he deserves to be lumped in now, since he's gone into Colonel Kurtz territory. Once upon a time, he did coach and emphasize defense with his Milwaukee teams.
