After a year long trial, an Italian jury found American, Amanda Knox, guilty of murdering British student, Meredith Kercher.

Upon hearing the verdict, Knox is said to have bowed her head and cried. She was sentenced to 26 years for sexual violence and murder.

Raffaele Sollecito, Knox’s former Italian boyfriend, was also found guilty and was given 25 years for the same crimes.

Rudy Guede, 22, was found guilty of participating in Meredith's murder in 2008, but is now appealing his conviction.

Knox and Sollecito were ordered by the court to pay 1 million Euros to Meredith’s mother and father, with her siblings to receive 800,000 Euros each. In addition, Knox was ordered to pay 40,000 Euros to a bartender she had falsely accused of the murder, according to Net News Daily.

On Nov. 2, 2007, Meredith was found partially nude and stabbed in the neck at the Italian house she shared with fellow college student, Knox. Prosecutors in the case have argued that Knox and Sollecito, 25, killed Meredith during a sex game that was fueled by drugs.

Knox has adamantly denied involvement in Meredith’s murder, and her family vows to continue the fight for her freedom.

I'm somewhat disappointed that the young student was also convicted to such a lengthy imprisonment. Even if he's something to do with this horrific story, there's no doubt he was under the intoxicating and tantalizing influence of the America whore and the black immigrant drug dealer. Poor guy, here's hoping they're more lenient towards him in the appeal.

Bullshit. Knox's DNA was on the knife handle and Kercher's DNA was on the blade. During Knox's interrogation she claimed she could hear Kercher screaming. She also falsely accused another person (Patrick Lumumba) who was eventually released. The prosecution says these statements prove she was lying and at the house at the time of the murder.
