“He says he wants to fight me? Y’all need to check if he’s still drinking.”
— Detroit’s Ben Wallace to reporters, when told about comments attributed to Ron Artest in an article in Sporting News that he’d like to get in a ring against Wallace
“I really don’t know where to go. I put the GPS on ‘home,’ and it went there. Go figure.”
— Former Nets coach Lawrence Frank, conducting a conference call with reporters while cleaning out his office after being fired
“Health has always been a factor for me. I’ve always thought if I wasn’t physically able to do the job, I’d get out . ... unless somebody else thought I needed to get out sooner.”
— Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, 67, after signing another one-year contract extension
