View Full Version : LOL Spurs?

Get this one started early. Quick question...what do you guys think the Spurs work on in practice? So far, there have been nearly 20 games, and at least 10 practice sessions, and it doesnt look like there is one play in the book for Richard Jefferson. Right now, hes a $14M corner 3 point shooter. The team should have kept Bowen for that, minus a few dunks and passes. Dont you think in those 10 practice sessions, the team would have worked on some isolations or curls for one of the most explosive athletes in the league.
1st hour - PnR with Tony pounding the ball, either driving for a score or dishing to an open Bogans/Jefferson in the corner for the shot.
2nd hour - 4 down. Duncan in the post one-on-one. Kick to an open RJ/Bogans for 3 when the double comes.
3rd hour - Small Ball with Finley at the 4.

If you truly believe that last play was actually drawn up for Matt Bonner, you are sorely mistaken.

Bonner shooting a 3 off a kickout isn't the worst call.
Bonner getting the ball 28 feet from the basket and driving it into the paint like a 2-guard is. :lol
I got a very slow "What...the....fuck?" out of my mouth before he'd even put up the shot. By the time I picked my jaw up all I could do was laugh.

We got to cut the spurs a little slack here, they were without NBA champion Michael "Clutch" Finley.
