We're sitting at 9-9 and we cant beat any good teams...

We have a great chance till the end of the year to pick up some wins against crappy teams.

There are 12 games remaining until New Year, and out of those games only Phoenix, Portland and Miami have winning records. (we play lac twice, gs, indiana, charlotte, sac, mil, ny, min...)

I believe we can pick some momentum and finish the year with a respectable 19-11 record.

We are one of the crappy teams...no game should be an expected win at this point.

record doesn't really matter anymore coz we are not playing like a good team. So what if we beat bad team?

who cares how we play against the crappy teams if we cant even beat a mediocre team.

Beating weak teams is like winning the consolation prize in the lottery. It makes you gamble more.

Of course record matters. If we make the playoffs in the 6, 7, or 8 spot then that's major bad news. It's not like we're getting blown out by the good teams, the last three games have all been close.

This team needs more time and steady health. It might need a big trade. That's why "it's only December" makes some sense. It doesn't mean we shouldn't criticize the team at all or plan around chemistry causing more losses even, nor does it mean we jump off a cliff. We have til late February to make a big move.

you think this team has any interest in just making the playoffs

Beating some crappy teams might get this team going again. Obviously nothing is a given but they need to stop the bleeding somehow. Take a hard look in the mirror wouldn't hurt either.

Beating crappy teams will make our wins look good, but wont do diddly squat for us in the playoffs when we face real opponents.

even if it seems impossible at this moment, I expect us to go 17-0 until the first game against the Lakers. There aren't any very difficult games until there, and if we can't win even one very difficult, we have to win all the others.

Your optimism is way up there. What drug did you take?

We just need wins at this point... that momentum can help against the tougher teams later.

10 - 2 is a best case scenario, and I'm hoping at worse we only lose 3 games. Let's see what happens I guess

one that isn't nearly as good as the one that was taken by the people who say "fire Pop" or "we are out of contention", just because we have some losses in December. I say this because it must be a very strong drug to make all those guys forget the last 15 years of the Spurs, mine only makes me forget the last 3 games.

We were actually a better team 15 years ago at this point of the season...

It may not easy.

It may not be pretty.

It may be touch and go . . .

But I predict a home win over Sacramento on Wednesday!!! :lol :lol :lol :lol

I'm not sure how you got that from my post. I said there's no way the Spurs want to end up in the 6, 7, or 8 spot.

Hopefully the team will get pissed off enough tonight to go for the throat from here on out. Does anyone know about an interview with Tony today with him saying he wasn't 100% at the moment?
