I'm not watching the game, but it looks like Tim's playing his worst game in over a month.
Also, wtf is wrong with the defense tonight? Utah and tonight have been HUGE steps back for our defense...shit.
Just shows how good Tim has been playing when he has 15 and 8 but it's his worst game of the month.:toast:toast
Nows thats Spurs championship basketball; starting from Duncan's block to Manu's impressive play.

Manu has 11pts, but unfortunately none of them at the rim. He has tried hard on D but been torched at times. And he still looks slow. C'mon Manu, find your game, please.

Transition D and interior D looked really poor. Nothing to get excited about in this game other than TP passing the ball.

For a number of games now, Tim has played mostly at the elbow for the first 3 Qs and done well on bankers and drives, but then he goes into the post in the 4th and misses everything. Why not stick to the bankers and drives???

I don't like his 4th quarter offense as of late either, but I'd still prefer him in the post if he actually makes good moves. Not that shit where he rumbles across the lane and throws a shot up. How about a shoulder shimmy then jump hook? Or that one-handed turn around bank shot? Or maybe that baseline turnaround that's been mostly MIA since 2004?

Wow Manu. I thought you're done and you made me eat crow, again. The best part about this game is Jefferson and Manu having breakout games. I know we have the talent, but we just need to find that small button so we can start beating teams on a regular basis

it made tp look great

Let's not suck each other's dicks yet - Manu has a loooong way to go. Nice to see flashes of the guy we know and love though. :tu
And Jefferson loves playing the Kings, but he's gotta learn to play like that night in night out.

It was very important to get this one, but not everything was pretty. I think we all know we won't hit roughly 90% of our threes every night.

I'm not that pleased with this game, but Manu and a few others played really well and seemed to get going, so if that was the only really good things about the game then I love this game against the Kings.

Indeed. Or how about a power drop step?
I wish. He hrdly uses any of his moves anymore - im not sure if he hasnt got the agility anymore, or what, but he makes it too easy for the defender too often. At this point, i like his face up game much better.

Yea, this game does have a little bit of fools gold in it.... if you defend like that against a slightly better team, or a team that has a shot blocker to stop some of the Spurs stuff at the basket - it could easily be a loss.

But, more so than the result, im happy to see RJ have his first big game with the big 4..... and also Manu having a mini-breakout in the fourth there. Basketball is so much mental, even more than physical, that any bit of confidence can do a world of good.

Nice to get a win, even if it's against the Kings. Even better to see RJ and Manu playing so well on the same night! GO SPURS GO!
good confidence builder. every member of the big 4 got a piece of something. still need to work on defense and develop consistency. i hate to wonder what would have happened if the spurs had a bad 3 pt shooting night instead of going 8-9.

Finally a W!
I think part of the strategy going forward is letting stars be stars and role player be role players. In other words TD, TP, Manu and RJ should carry the bulk of the offense, guys like Mason and Bonner should take less shots unless they're on fire... It seems pretty obvious but the big 4 are effective when attacking the basket instead of being too unselfish with the ball and everybody is taking jump shots. Penetrate and dish...
