I would def root for guy2, but fact is guy2 has admitted to no real fight experience where the verdict is out for guy1. Yeah I'm a big dude. No need to lie about it. The weight I want to be at is about 215 so I got some work to do. Up until I was about 20 or 21 my heaviest weight was around 155-160. I got hurt playing ball and couldn't run for a little over a year so I gained about 90% of my weight then. I didn't do cardio but I still ate the same as I always did so that was a bad mix.

I was never the bully though. I started fighting in middle school because I went to school on the west side of town and for some reason they thought if you didn't live in the projects you were a richer. I liked it so much that I started getting more serious about the gym and never hesitated when the opportunity came up.

Since you have previous training, yeah it would be pretty easy. For someone new to it there is no way 6 months would be enough time. He will spend the first 2 weeks recovering from the soreness that he has never felt before.

they got me doing the basics right now which is expected.
- run 1 mile
- 200 sit ups
- 100 push ups
- 3 rnds of 1's
- 3 rnds of 2's
- 3 rnds of combination 1 & 2's
- 3 rnds of jumprope

they said i'll be doing this for the first 2-3 wks and then we move on to other stuff.

i'm excited and all but damn did this 1st day kick my ass already! i workout 3-4 times a wk at the gym but never have i had such a workout as today. i barely sweat out there at the gym but today i was drenched.

cardio isn't my forte unless i'm on a bball court and only for short sprints... this boxing gym makes all people who train there run a mile when they get to the gym so i'll be running a mile at least 5 times a week. besides the mandatory mile i will be adding an extra mile in the morning to my daily routine.

i haven't ran or jogged in such a long time let alone a mile. that mile yesterday kicked my ass. jump roping totally killed me though. and to think i once was a jump rope for heart kid back in the day, well 3rd grade haha.

it's a real gym. no doubt about it. family owned and operated since '75. boxing passed down from father to sons who now teach as well.

i love the family atmosphere there and i can already tell that these dudes are going to push me to be my best.

i had kids and adults teaching me yesterday. i'm a sponge so i really don't care where the training comes from as long as i am getting taught the proper techniques.
