Last 10 games

Derrick Rose
20 ppg -- 7 apg -- 4rpg

Brandon Jennings
16.8ppg -- 6apg -- 3.6rpg

Now I know Brandon Jennings is just a rookie but Rose is a sophomore.... Not much a difference and also Brandon played professionally in the Euroleague

This is to all the people saying Jennings > Rose.

Entire 2009-10 season so far up to date

Derrick Rose (20 games)
16.1 ppg / 5.7 apg / 3.0 rpg

Brandon Jennings (21 games)
21.2 ppg / 5.7 apg / 3.8 rpg

Now I know it's simple statistics, but isn't 20/21 games a better sample size than 10 games?

However you're missing the point. The first 10 games Jennings was averaging 25ppg and Rose only 12..... Rose has been improving.....Jennings no....

The Bulls are 1-9 in the last 10 games, meaning Rose's play hasn't helped the Bulls win much at all. The Bucks are struggling now too, but before the "last 10 games" when Brandon Jennings was playing better, the Bucks were 8-3.

When Brandon Jennings plays well, he helps his team win. When Derrick Rose plays well, his team still sucks. Brandon Jennings is actually a difference maker when he plays well. When Derrick Rose puts up "pretty stats," Chicago still sucks.

That doesn't mean anything. Last time I checked the Bulls were 6-3 to open the season all while Rose was playing like shit. Now Rose has gotten much better but the Bulls lost 9 of their last 10 games. If anything, it should be the Bulls team to take blame not Rose.

You said it in your post yourself that Jenning's inconsistency is what is causing the Bucks some trouble. Whats good is it to have an inconsistent player? Ya the Bulls are not doing so well but at least Rose is consistent....

What that tells us is that Rose is stat padding at the expense of wins since when he was playing poorly, the team was actually playing better. So you like the Allen Iverson school of NBA basketball?

On the other hand, what Brandon Jennings' struggles tells us is that the Bucks are extremely dependent on him playing well in order for them to win games. Inconsistency from a rookie is not surprising. How reliant that team is on his play is.

Sounds like you'd rather gas up Derrick Rose for stats when his play almost seems to hurt his team rather than help him.

If you're going by records, you'd have to give the edge to Jennings. However, I think Rose is going through his sophomore woes right now and the team is really battling injuries to Hinrich and Thomas. I don't know who'd I select, but I'd say Rose because he is a little more experienced. Who knows if Jennings can sustain this effort for his entire career. However, it would be nice to have any of the two on your team.

Thats nonsense, Rose got over his stumps right after Hinrich, Thomas and Pargo went down with injuries. Only until they come back shall we see...
