Is it okay to bring Hot Pockets as hors d'oeuvres and Pop Tarts as a dessert item? I'm going to cut the HP up into tiny bite-size squares and put festive toothpicks on them.

They are both fair game as long as you warm them up ahead of time. Nobody wants a cold pop tart. And get the brown sugar ones. It shows some class.

I got 12 Brown Sugar, 12 Strawberry w/o icing and 8 strawberry with icing. I've got this silver to go tray and I'm going to heat the hot pocket bites in the microwave before the luncheon begins. The thing about pop tarts though is that you can eat them cold.

That's just trashy. You might come off as white trash if you don't warm em up.

I hate the "forced camaraderie" for potluck luncheons at work, so Hot Pockets and Pop Tarts is my silent protest. I was going to bring Chocolate Angel Food Cake from Central Market, but then I thought "Why should I share something awesome with people I don't like?"

At least toast the pop tarts beforehand!:toast

Silver tray? Just get a piece of cardboard and cover it in foil. Same shit.

I hate how the people who never bring shit to potlucks always eat the most or the ones that act like they haven't eaten in years and think that the food is going to disappear within 15 seconds.

Then don't go- have an "appointment."

That's what I was thinking. Why make yourself look like a bitch? Just tell them you won't be participating!

it's like a potluck for 8 year olds....that said...i would tear that shit up!

fyi, hot pockets with meat of any kind are just sickening.

four cheese are the bomb though!

next time just throw a 20 piece nugget on the table and be done with it...

The hot pockets actually look like a normal app. When they are cut up and have that crazy bread, they look like a delicious, well put together dish.

Coworker A: (White Lady, thick Texas drawl) "Aww can't say that. Whut does that mean?" (trying to read the sign)

Coworker B: (Hispanic lady) "They're Hot Pockets."

_______________________________________

Coworker A: "Hmm...Calientes. Wonder what that is."

Coworker B: (look of befuddlement on her face): "I think those are Hot Pockets."

Coworker A: "Eh, what the hell..." (puts 2 on his plate)

Won't catch me eating anything people made for the office. Lots of disgruntle workers out there wanting payback or funny fuckers that think jacking off in a casserole is cute.

I gotta give it to you. The Spanish sign to fuck with all the white people was gold. Presentation was gold. Feeding one of the nastiest foods in the grocery store to co workers and them eating it = gold. Only thing missing is the pic of the empty tin with all the crumbs and discarded toothpicks.

That is the best potluck item of EVER. I get so freaked out just looking at some of the weird shit people bring to those things. I would have piled my plate with the fancy little Spanish things and slathered them in Ranch dressing (I'm white) and it would have been a happy cubicle for the rest of the afternoon.

Strong work. :toast
