I'm shocked he was able to get that high.

But yeah, it was a clear goaltend.

Am i really blind though? I was shocked nobody protested after Roy acknowledged it afterwards and they kept showing the replay and calling it a block. I mean...they showed 2 angles and it looked so BLATANT its not even funny.

If I'm wrong there is something wrong with my eyes, seriously.

What did I miss? I was watching the Rambis thing on FSN.

Roy throws up a shot 7 ft away from the rim, lebron blocks it like almost 2 ft away from the rim. And after roy was initially upset they kept replaying it calling it a block, and the blazers bench/ other players didn't even protest. So i am confused :bang :downspin:

It was definitely on the way down, but since it's the league's meal ticket it was a block.

Looked like it was on the way down, but that's just an incredible block..he's a freak..that's what you do when you're the best player in the NBA..he doesn't have a Bynum or Gasol to block shots like that for him, so he has to do it himself..

I honestly dont think its as obvious as you guys are making it. Thats one of those I couldn't argue with either way. If it was going down, it wasn't by much IMO.

It was a goal tend, but congrats to LeBron for being able to goal tend that high.

lmao #2 on Sportscenter top plays. It's even more obvious it's a goal tend when they show it over and over in slow motion.

The fact that he got up so high isn't something that impresses me much anymore. Athletes that can jump like that are starting to become a dime a dozen. There are other aspects of his game that are much more impressive.

Goaltend.

Another gripe I have with announcers. They get goal tends wrong 90% of the time. 99% of the time when Lebron is involved.

In real-time you can't really tell if the ball is going up, at it's apex, or down. Tough call to make by the officials who don't have the liberty of super slow motion and a camera angle from above the rim.

HOWEVER, those same officials called offensive interference on a Lebron to Shaq alley-oop earlier in the game that was a clear pass to Shaq. Karma.

holy shit..is that Mila Kunis in your sig?

The shot was at its apex.

I think Bron was aided by the fact that the refs were astonished he could go get it that high in the air.

And yes, the refs totally blew the previous alley-oop goeltend call on Shaquille. Shaquille threw it down in one swift motion, so it appeared as though it was in the cylinder, although it was clearly outside.
