Not a knee jerk, but the beloved JET was 4-19 tonight and 0-6 from behind the arc... he has been really subpar this year if you ask me although I've missed like 18 of the 24 games for the Mavs... shooting under 35% from the arc... under 45% from the field... picking up where he left off in the playoffs... also had a very poor 2nd half of the season last year although blistering hot int he early parts of last year. JET has had gradually declining 3-PT % BUT he's shooting just as many 3's as ever...

Considering his lack of size and defense if he isn't shooting an excellent % from the arc he becomes a very mediocre player.

Is our beloved JET losing it? Age catching up with him? Not quick enough to offset his lack of size? I dunno, I haven't watched a Mavs game in a weekk... discuss Mavs fan.

Jet is as streaky as they come. Today was one of his off days.
You could tell he really wanted to hit some shots for the troops, but he couldnt buy a bucket.

Just JET being JET. He'll have a 5 or 6 game stretch soon where he's on fire and gets his stats up. Either way, I'd rather have someone more reliable. I love JET but I love consistency more.

All he needs is a game against the Rockets

True, there's nothing like a series against the Spurs to get JET back on fire. 4-1.

Exactly...too bad they dont play like that all the time or I would agree w/ all the Mavs fans saying they are a contender.

I'd expect Kenny Smith to be a bit rusty at this age.

He always seems to play pretty well against the Spurs, he probably averages around 20 ppg, 5 ast, 3 3's, and 1 gp (groin punch) a game against us.

Yeah Jet has been a real disappointment lately and the reason the mavs are struggling. He needs to get his act together. His defense isn't that bad though. I thought he did a good job in that category last night.

Mavs in general are playing like shit on offense but thats what you get when you have an injury prone slasher and your 2 post threats is either a dumbass or a contract year whore who cant catch.

Well I haven't given many thoughts on our beloved Mavs lately... as I have been unable to watch many games this year... but just looking at the box scores JET's shooting has been very subpar this year, picking up where he left off in the Denver series.

Guy shot 40%+ from behind the arc from '05-'07... dipped to a respectable 36-37% the 2 years after... this year he's only shooting 34.1% from the arc thus far.

For whatever reason he's not getting very many open looks, most have been pretty contested. I don't know if he's losing his quickness or if teams are able to key in on him with Jho being out for much of the year and Marion not being a threat to create his own shot.

I think if we were able to regain a healthy Jho or move him for a decent scorer then we would see a resurgence of JET tbh

Terry is one of the streakiest guys in the NBA, but yeah Howard returning should give Terry more room to shoot the jumper with Howard attacking the basket like he should.
