This better be a brief rest for Jefferson. I was under the impression that the Spurs got him, in large part, for these types of games. Where they're in control, but it's still in the balance, so they could limit the big three (and McDyess) minutes, while still having a legit 20-point scorer on the court for extended minutes. But apparently Pop is under the impression that Jefferson is 35 and can't handle more than 10 minutes at a time.

So let me get this straight: Parker can't play 40 minutes against the Celtics, Nuggets, or Jazz, but he can against the mighty Clippers (and this in a game where the Spurs have had a double-digit lead for the majority of it)? This coach has lost his mind. I used to think he was the best in the league at knowing who to sub, when to sub, but these last two years he's been inexplicably poor at this.

Good sub bringing in Bogans for Ginobili defensively with 32.4 seconds left...but why not make a similar defensive sub on the interior by dusting off Ratliff? Being solid defensively on the interior is what more often than not makes a good defensive team. Why else would the Magic, loaded with sub par defenders, be an elite defensive team? Because they have arguably the best anchor in the game.

Fresh legs. That's the best thing about having Blair, for night's like this, when McDyess looks old, Duncan is taking it easy as far as rebounding/shot blocking...to have another big man to rebound and score around the basket and to play with energy is extremely valuable. Hopefully the big 3 + McDyess can take the rest of the game off.

Maybe this will be the game that Blair finally becomes confident enough to be able to play regular minutes.

I called the same thing during the TV timeout just after he was put in. :smokin

We're really in sync today. :D :lol

BTW, what's your reasoning behind Pop not giving Grizzly 24mpg???

Fouls don't help. He was averaging about a foul every five minutes the last time I checked.

10 TOs

Yep, 10 TO's thus far by both teams.

Supergirl

clips couldnt giva fuck now

personally I think they will make one more run, get the lead down to 15 or maybe even 10, and Spurs will close it out.

Bonner with a leading +32, but I am sure people will still rant about him :rollin

We have the Clippers announcers calling Blair 6 foot 7 when he first checked in. Now, they are calling him 6 foot 8. Has he grown an inch in 2 hours?

This was the most predictable game of the season. Spurs suck when Pop goes to midget ball. Then when Pop goes to the players who are playing well (namely Blair), the Spurs easily grow the lead.

Fouls don't help. He was averaging about a foul every five minutes the last time I checked.

Good point. He seems to have cut them recently though.

I think the other side of it is trying to feed Dice minutes. He's been mildly disappointing overall so far.

Despite Bonner's contributions (he really doesn't get enough respect on this board), I definitely think it's time to move Blair up to first big off the bench.
