Hopefully, his lack of ACLs didn't cause an injury there...

What exactly happened? I missed it... Did he get up and walk to the locker room or was he assisted? limping?

In all seriousness, it could be an abdominal strain or a bruised hip or shoulder or something...

Hopefully its not an abdominal strain since that would sideline him for a couple of weeks probably

Blair lacks all ruth. He doesn't know how to add a little ruth to his game ... even in a blowout.

That was a serious fall onto his pelvic bone...or maybe his hip. He'll be very sore. Hopefully, no fracture.

An injury or pain seems to be on a part of his upper body, not his hip nor his knee.

Yes he does.. live and learn though.

I doubt it is his knees. Would have been walking off with help. I bet it is his hip or tail bone.

He tried to dunk and fell on his side/hip. He rolled around in excruciating pain and then got up lightening quick like if it was nothing. He then walked into the locker room.

He didn't land on his rear. He landed falling face down. Maybe a pelvic or hip pointer type injury.

It looked like a hip pointer.

Too bad. It cost him a sure double double. He had nine rebounds with like 4 minutes left.

Manu-of-steel
12-14-2009, 12:06 AM
i think it was his hips. But he has enough fat pads, so hopefully, there's nothing serious there. I think he is a bigger version of manu- throws his body in there, as if there's no tomorrow

Blair took a similar fall at the end of preseason and missed some practices. If he's sore, Pop probably sits hit for the rest of this road trip. Let's hope it isn't any worse than that.

How does one tell a BEAST to settle down? Without loosing an arm at least.

Kidding aside I'm thrilled to see him going at it 100% even though it's the clippers and it's a blowout.

That was a pretty stupid move by Blair. I really hope he is ok. I will be pissed and sad at the same time if it turns out he has to miss some games. Fuck!

I agree that nobody should question his style and "risks", but that was a bad play in general..he had Hairston and Ratliff on both sides of him, it's a much safer play than running over a guy and hurting yourself at that point in the game..

his risks as in physical risks, that's his game and his own body..not risks as in risky passes or shots..

12-14-2009, 12:34 AM
he falled? where are you from?

phyzik
12-14-2009, 12:35 AM
I dont think it was anything serious at all. He got up just fine, just a stinger.

Pop sending him to the Locker room was just Pop being paranoid like he has been all year in regards to injuries.

Typical spurs fans over-reacting.

At most, he will sit out the next game and thats it.

Still, it was a rookie mistake to try and go for that shot.

explain his limping to the bench and then to the lockerroom? His writhing on the floor. Just becaus ehe popped up means nothing, his adrenaline was running, plus he had just made a scene on the floor. I dont think anyone here is overreacting but it DID look bad.

Easy to say, but tough to do.

If you play much ball you'll know that most players have a speed and energy they play at, and it's very hard to change that. If you start trying to slow yourself down, you become hesitant and ineffective.

I have a feeling DeJuan is a guy that plays hard no matter what, and we'll just have to live with the consequences of that. A leopard can't change his spots and remain an effective leopard.

We don't want to have our deadly Grizzly turn into an unsure cub.:lol And to continue the arguement from the gameblog, I think beast is a better nickname because calling Blair a grizzly is an insult, since he is superior in every way imaginable to that animal. Also, Beast can imply the X-men mutant, whose physical abilitites are somewhat closer to Dejuan's.:toast
