If no one dies of old age on either team, this could be a good game.

Who does that? We just blame the Suns fans that were rubbing it in our faces talking about how the Lakers were done and the Suns had their "eyes on the prize". And here we are a few years later and the Suns have their binoculars or telescopes on the prize as it sits on the Lakers mantle. Go figure.

Must've been some stupid fans since everyone knew the spurs and mavericks were the only team worth worrying about back then.

I'm not advanced enough in my fandom where i can joke about that yet.

Once Duncan retires...there won't really be any hallowed ground left.

Maybe Parker's ankles.

You ain't ever walkin' away from that, sweetheart.

Suns vs Spurs Tweet up Game: Win 2 Tickets (http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/)
by Phoenix Stan

Long story, but I have two tickets for tonight's tweet-up game versus the Spurs. Not only is this about free tickets to a Suns-Spurs game you get some pretty cool extra stuff like early entry and a meet and greet with Amare's Stoudemire after the game is over.

Here's the tweet-up details via Suns.com (http://www.nba.com/suns/tickets/tweetup_091215.html?mid=TwitSite). You have to arrive around 4:45 to take part in the early admission deal. Oh, and there's a free T-shirt too.

To win simply send me a tweet @phoenixstan (http://twitter.com/phoenixstan) explaining why the Suns will beat the Spurs.

Winner will be selected by 1pm Arizona time and the tickets will be emailed.

Hopefully the Suns destroy the Spurs.

Sorry the next Jordan takes priority over a good game. Well maybe a good game. Everyone is so old, they might start forgetting who's one which team and just pass the ball to each other for 48 minutes and then go 10 or so OTs before they call it a game and give both teams a loss.

It's kind of odd that everytime those 2 geriatric teams go up against each other, they play an uptempo basketball

Of course they do. The first 46 minutes of a basketball game is ideal for my style of play.

I didn't really watch much of this game as it was a blowout. Did get a bit interesting at the end then Pop threw in the towel.

George Hill got abused pretty bad by Nash and Tragic.

From upstairs in Suicide Central:::it's a gasser about the Sun's announcers:::

word. The commentators really sucked. Yes, the whined like babies about all those things you mentioned and then they were throwing hissy fits about the Dragic foul on Ginobili before halftime. "Put 'Bailout' on his back, cause it's Ginobili"
right after Nash got that offensive foul on McDyess for that lame flop under the rim......

And did you notice how legitimately ignorant they were? I remember one of them saying something like, "Richard Jefferson, the Spurs basically got him for nothing from New Jersey this summer"

and then called DeJuan Blair the steal of the draft at #36 due to his college knee injury........

idiots

The game was not a blowout. The problem is the Spurs used everything they had to get back within 1, but as often happens, teams get tired and then the suns turned it back on in the 4th. Not a good thing for Pho, but the spurs looked like the spurs of old in the 3rd for a while there. Also I doubt the spurs expected Dragic's balls to drop right before the game.

However, there seems to be a flaw in the Spurs or their lineup tonight.

How did Pho get away with playing Both Dragic and Nash at the same time for so long?

Culburn369
12-16-2009, 10:49 AM
...because everything Rome said about the Spurs is absolutely true.

Been awhile since i sat down and watched a SUNSvSPURS game.
Nice win but whats really changed?
-SPURS still don't care about SUNS matchups in December.
-Ginobli is still a douchebag...and that facebeak of his is going to cause problems getting
in and out of European cars later in life.
-SUNS are at least trying to scramble and play "D" but they've still got their GPS pointed towards 50 & fade.

Suns are looking better than last year at least though I am sure there are still some delusional people that still think the Shaq deal wasn't the major contributing problem. They at least look to play some defense at times. Are the whiners over at ASFN still complaining about the league and refs catering to the Lakers and Spurs while dissing the Suns? Nevermind. That's a given.
