That is a fucking fat contract. Props to the Cardinals for stepping up like that but man eight years is a lot. Bay can't even get five.

8 years is a lonnnng time for any player. Good for him though, he should be financially set.

I think we saw that when you put him in the AL, he's only a slightly better than average player.
The difference in the quality of players from league to league has never been more pronounced in my lifetime.

Seeing as the giants aren't in any huge games that wouldn't have been a problem!
Bay can't get 5 because he's just an "ok" player. Watched the guy for years in Pittsburgh. Never understood the hype.
