Really, calm down jeezz. Dont be hyperactive when TP plays a bad game. It's about the team. We all know what TP is capable of and what he has done for us so dont get all crazy, that's really unnecessary.
We need to stick behind the team and stick behind Tony Parker. Don't you think he is our best player right now, with keeping an eye on the future? Yeah, he needs to recover and to maybe take a rest. But why the hate? Why the hyperactive overreacting BS? It's like you are all a bunch of 3 year olds, new to the game of basketball.
And no, im not saying you cant have comments and critics on the team, but im saying its stupid to take it this far.
We, as fans need to stick behind the team and be positive, especially with a player like TP :flag::flag:

i think it would help if we get a button on this forum to flag trolls / bandwagoners (similar to youtube "thumbs up" / "thumbs down") and then be able to click on another button to screen threads and read only comments from down-to-earth ppl.
of course, this is not bullet-proof, as trolls might get together to vote everyone else as a troll. then everyone would be a troll and we would need another button to separate the trolling trolls from trolls in disguise folks. ... and you can see the cycle repeating.

Ignore list yo.
You can even click "view this post" of ignored people when you need a laugh.
Honestly there's only like 3-4 people worthy of ignoring. Most annoying people turn a shade of pink.

I agree about the overreactions, but don't think it's right to single out TP, he's not our best player and won't be until 2012, something that he acknowledges himself. The whole team, apart from Duncan, hasn't played too well, but there's lots of time to turn this around and even Pop is starting his annual critisizing speaches a bit earlier than expected.
I fully expect a good run coming soon, so yea, no overreactions are necessary right now.

We should just be positive and stick behind this team and its players. Yes, Parker is a part of the team, so, show some respect to the guy. He has done alot for the Spurs and their championships.

I dont get why we should single him out I mean seriously watching last night he wasnt the only 1 doing some stupid shit out there. Like Bukefal said its a team effort everybody played flat on both sides of the court.

This is a place to discuss basketball bro..we're all frustrated with the season so far, which is obviously understandable..Tony Parker was hyped up as our "best player" all off-season and we heard how he was supposed to emerge for us like he did in the 2nd half of last season..he played Summer ball and got hurt, he never got any time to rest, and now he's significantly slower and has played very poorly on both ends of the floor..
I'm pretty sure everybody appreciates what he's done..why are we getting criticized for being upset with the way he's playing?..I don't have any bias towards Parker at all, never have and never will..he's clearly playing poorly though, and I don't see any reason not to be angry about it..
It's not like Parker is the only one..there have been threads about Manu playing poorly, Bonner, McDyess, a bunch about Jefferson, Finley always gets it, Mason has had a bunch of threads about him..even Duncan to start the season..Pop always has his haters..Parker is FAR from the only guy that is criticized here, everybody gets it..Tony is getting it the most RIGHT NOW, because along with RJ, he's clearly been the most disappointing player for us this year..
this is a place to discuss basketball, it's not some orgy where we're all going to jerk off to images of the Spurs players and how great they always are..you have to expect reactions like this in this kind of forum, especially when the team is heavily underachieving..

well coming into the season Pop/Manu/TD said this is Parker's team. Parker has green light to do whatever he wants on offense.
well, shouldn't the "man" and general of the team get most of the blame???

I know, and I understand and expect reactions of people with critics on the team completely when they underachieve. I get it, that's normal and something which should be. But, it has been taken too far. From critic its going to Craziness and overreacting and simply bullshit. That's what is really stupid and unnecessary and shows how stupid some of our fans are.
Plus all the Parker hate is really over the top. He has done so much for our Spurs, and still is our best player. Yes, he is not performing to the standards we set and expected from him to play this season, but still he is great and we need him and we know what he is capable of. He needs to get healthy and he himself is fully aware of that.
Again, we shouldn't blame him on the fact that he plays for his country. Injuries can happen everywhere at any time.
I've said before; I dont hear fans blame American players playing for Team USA, so I think its another rejection of everything non-american to blame the first on, when things go not so well and they cant think of anything else on here to blame on.
aaahh it must be because he is French :bang

I dont think this will ever change. We just have to accept that with every Spur loss some people get closer to ending their lives.

I completely agree with your post. No one cares about what I'm about to say but all this negativity and aggressiveness keeps me away from Spurstalk. I really don't want to come and read this hate.
The agressive threads overshadow the good ones.

It would be nice if their play would give us something to be positive about instead of blind faith...

What's with all the fan elitism on this board? "I'm a better fan than you!" "I'm a real fan you're not" "do you even live in SA?"
Different people celebrate (or worship I guess) their teams in different ways jeesh.

When the topic of your thread is "some spurs fans suck" because they don't buy into the "it's only december" excuse crap we hear all the time...yeah, it seems pretty elitist.

You seem to miss the point. They don't need to buy the 'it's only december' excuse. Really, they have every right to criticize the team. But I do think they need to calm the f*ck down and drop the overreacting insane crazy hateful bullshit they are spitting, based on pure shit.
And yes, some spurs fans who do that, who have such hate for a player who has done so much for this team, and they have no respect and only spitting shit, those fans suck in my eyes. Its not about elitism, because they can be the biggest fans on earth, but still suck.

It's not easy to distinguish the posts/threads of some Spurs "fans," and those of Spurs "haters" or "trolls," and that can be irritating.
