50% from the floor, 83.3% from the line... 27 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks in 32 minutes.

For anyone else who watched the game, can I get a :wow:wow:wow please!! Tim was running a clinic out there, truly a man amongst boys. After all these years of watching him, he still manages to amaze me night in and night out. What a warrior!

His per minute numbers are almost identical to his MVP seasons.

on a back to back too..

I don't know if I should be sad instead of happy though..I love seeing him on his game and all, but even in b2b situations he's needed to carry this team on both ends of the floor at 33 years old..this isn't the way this team is supposed to be playing..

50% from the floor, 75% from the line... 25 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks in 30 minutes.

Game's not over yet (I'll update final stats), but for anyone else who watched the game, can I get a :wow:wow:wow please!! After all these years of watching him, he still manages to amaze me night in and night out. What a warrior!

-warning: I appreciate Duncan's performance
....and of course I agree that Tim Duncan is the greatest power forward ever. The Big Fundamental is also Mr. Consistent. ...and he did have a great game....

but 27/15/4/4 is a pretty typical line against a team weak in the middle. Aside from the blocks that's a pretty above-average Tim Duncan game.
You really gotta know your opponent. I keep saying this, and I guarantee Coach Pop and the team say it, who you beat, who you score x points, grab x rebounds, and block x shots against matters. I watched the game and I was impressed...but I would have been disappointed if Duncan wasn't a beast in the paint and on the glass. I KNOW that Pop's game plan was to take advantage of Golden State's disadvantage on the frontline.

What are we going to do when we play the Clippers and Duncan possibly produces a line that looks like 21/3/0/1(Sunday 12/13/09)?
"The Official Start Blair His Knees May No ACLs But Duncan's Are Officially Worse He Got Beat Up By That Officially Stupid Looking White Guy Who I Thought Was Officially Left Handed Thread"
?

well, at least we'd be respecting the opponent...... :p:

Absolute BEAST this season; one of his best seasons so far... just hope he doesn't start breaking down around playoff time...:( Afraid about him having to carry the team each night.... I thought the new pick-ups in the off-season were supposed to fix this...:ihit

Timmy got his numbers and didn't really seem to be exerting that much effort.. so long as his knees hold up, he can be a force even as the years pile on.

Tim Duncan is an absolute beast for the ages. Remeber though, it's only the Warriors. They have one of the worst Frontcourts in the League. Still though, what makes me happy is that Timmy doesn't have to play 36 plus minutes to get these numbers. As long as we keep his minutes in the low 30's, and he still remains extremely effective, we should be fine.

Yup he's been carrying the team on his back. I'll be pissed if he loses his legs by the end of the season from it. But I think Pop has done a good job on keeping his minutes in check so hopefully he will be fine.

LOL at all the talk before the season about Tony starting to lead the team more and more. This is Duncan's team, always will be. Once he retires, it'll be the end of an era.

I was screaming for Gentry to stop doubling Duncan. Timmy would just pass the ball out to an open 3-point shooter, who'd subsequently make the Suns pay for it. Let Duncan get his and make everyone else work that much harder to score.

Maybe the greatest thing is how effortlessly Tim makes it look. If you didn't watch close, you'd probably think: "Had a really good third and got a basket and rebound here and there in the other quarters as well" - when in fact he put up beastly 27/15/4/4 in 32 minutes. A great performance for a player his age on a b2b-game (even though it came against a severely undersized FC). :toast

i feel bad too, but i think this is what is needed until theres a real leader ready to step up, i think timmy loves being the leader and plays better when he is. He's a GREAT, this is what LEGENDS DO

TD is just so talented. He's made it a point to emphasize scoring with his jumpshot this season and one wonders why wait until this point in his carreer.. he's been deadly from mid-range. His accuracy from the outside is probably the reason his FFT% took such a big jump-- he's just so confident shooting nowadays. I really think Duncan has too deep a repertoire of offensive moves, he's probably forgotten half of them ... really needs to dust them off. Go TD!
