Not to take anything away from Dallas, but NO's should had lost two weeks ago if the Redskins weren't total incompotents. That was the first game that I think I have watched all year where it seemed like a team was trying to lose.

Oh yeah I totally agree. And to beat them at home was pretty impressive too. I still am taking the Eagles out of the Nfc. That hurts because I am a Giants fan too. But we stink.

NO couldn't slow down the Dallas run early in the game. A strong run game along with a fair passing game is the Saints' kryptonite. Whereas a team like the pass-heavy Pats play to the Saints' advantage.

The other thing that impressed was the Dallas D - both the pressure on the Brees and the secondary play.

Carolina, Washington and Dallas have all showed the blueprint to give the Saints fits. Good run game + decent pass threat + good pass D is the key.

IMO the Saints' playoff prospects depend on matchups. They will do well against the likes of Philly, Green Bay, Arizona, NE but struggle against Minny, Dallas, Cincy, SD.

Another great thing about the win is is locks the Saints and Vikes in a tie if the Vikes win today. That means that most likely the Vikes will have to play to win against the Giants the last week if the season making the chances the Giants have of catching the Cowboys worse.

I'm glad The Saints lost. I have hated Brees since High School. He was the Westlake Chaps QB and I went to Austin High. Our two schools didn't get along and we would run into Drew and some of the other players at Thunder Clouds during lunch. I guess he got the last laugh though since he plays pro football and I have a shitty job lol.
