MJ is lucky he didn't have to face Kobe in the league on a regular basis during his prime. Kobe would have given it to him on a nightly basis...this is when Kobe was raw and under developed...Man MJ was lucky... I think the comment by Bob Costas in the first video about Shaq being in the way of Kobe matching Jordan's stats is the realest they come.

Yeah, Jordan should have been scared. People think Lebron was overhyped when he first came into the league. Lebron can't hold a candle to Kobe in the overhyped department. How about Kobe Bryant starting the freakin all-star game in '98 with the NBA ramming him down everyone's throat and then in the same year does this in the playoffs....

8.7ppg on 40% shooting, 21% 3pt, 69% FT

If Lebron had gotten hyped all year long and put up that crap playoff performance he would have been crucified :lol

I'm kinda surprised Kobe actually dropped 55 points on Jordan, I don't recall anybody else ever doing that.

son like that is something for Bryant to be proud of? dropping 55 points when Jordan was 39 years old in Washington? lol

that would be like Frank Thomas bragging about hitting more home runs than Jordan did for the White Sox.

Jordan should have retired if he's going to let Kobe drop 55 on him.

If the best you can come up with to argue that Kobe was better than Jordan is a video of Kobe scoring 55 points on a 40 YEAR OLD JORDAN then you epic fail.

Jordan had a damn good game for 40 years old, I believe he finished with 23 points. Also as far as I know neither guy was even guarding the other, Jerry Stackhouse was mostly guarding Kobe.

Nah, if Kobe was really that hyped, he wouldn't have been the 13th pick.

Kobe has exceeded all his 13th pick draft hype and then some.

You could say Kobe's the Greatest player to ever be picked that low.

Malone comes to mind. Too bad Jordan stole two of his rings.

Yeah, but it wasn't the game MJ thought it would be. I was at that game, and MJ came in with his cock on hard, thinking to show LA fans one last show. Guess who stole that show?

Like I said, he did put on a show he scored 23 points at 40 years old. There are dozens and dozens of guys in the league right now that couldn't score 23 points to save their life.

It's all a moot point anyhow, they didn't guard each other. Someone needs to change the name of that video to Kobe Bryant VS Jerry Stackhouse because that's who was guarding him.
