A few people in this thread have criticized him in every way..particularly RJ's ex-fiancee murpjf88 and her cousin the OP..what a strange time to make this thread, after Jefferson has a good game AND we lost to a horrible team..so clearly there are more serious problems than Jefferson..

I understand criticizing Jefferson for not being consistent against the top teams, and I understand that he hasn't fit some unrealistic expectations..he deserves criticism, just like everybody else..but to think he's even one of the top reasons this team is struggling is just stupid, and the facts don't back it up..

The fact that his stats are somewhat similar to Finley's prove how horribly he's been utilized this season..the sad part is what when you exclude the games that RJ played without Tony and Tim, then last year's version of Finley actually averaged more shots per game than RJ does this season, which is fucking pathetic..the fact that RJ is putting up the same efficiency, averages 5 times the amount of FTAs, plays better D, actually slashes to the rim, but still can't get more shots per game than last year's Finley shows how poorly he's being utilized..

As for his "killer instinct", it's possible that he doesn't have it..but the guy is a 4th option..that's why he was brought it..there are 3 guys ahead of him that are supposed to take the pressure off and carry the team..unfortunately, 2 of them have been playing poor basketball this season..

Parker's averaging a career-high in TOPG, while Manu is shooting a ridiculous 38% from the field this year..those are supposed to be our #2 and #3 options, but people are blaming RJ?..unless you're bringing in a Lebron or Kobe type, then we need Manu and Parker to play at their usual levels..unfortunately, we haven't been getting that..

Furthermore, our offense is ranked 5th in the NBA..people seem to not understand this..the defense has been a much, much bigger problem than the offense..since our offense has it's fair share of troubles, that speaks volumes on how poor the D is..Jefferson isn't a great defender, but he's been improving for a while now..he doesn't control Parker's D, the interior D or the p&r D, which have been our main defensive problems..

We've played 10 games vs. good/great teams(Utahx3, @ Portland, @ Phoenix, Dallasx2, @ Houston, Boston, Denver)..looking at the numbers, RJ isn't the only one struggling against those teams, the others are too..

Tony Parker: 29.6MPG 48.3FG% 17.9pts 4.4asts 3.4tos..
RJ: 35.1MPG 43.5FG% 12.7pts 2.1asts 4.9rbs 1.9to..
Manu: 23.5MPG 32.4FG% 10pts 3.3asts 2.4rbs 2.1tos..

RJ is struggling with his shot, Manu is HEAVILY struggling with his shot..Tony's scoring has been nice in those games, but 4.4 APG with 3.4 TOPG is horrible..

some of the best analysis i have read on these forums; maybe you can convince ellis to make a special section for you and 228 instead of reading this pandemic borderline-illiterate quasi-communist propaganda self-suffocating bandwagon manure that pollutes everything in sight; this is a forum, a forum, not your local neighborhood online counselor you tell all your problems.
