Everyone knows about the unfortunate death of Wayman Tisdale..it was way too soon. Though most do, not everyone knows he was a great musician. On many occasions, he played with Toby Keith, and the two were very close friends. On Toby's recent album, he wrote a beautiful song called "Cryin For Me (Wayman's Song)." It has a little country and jazz sound to it. Just wanted to share it with you...I'd recommend everyone check it out. His entire album, "American Ride" is dedicated to Wayman.

I am aware of this...but when a guy loses his life to cancer and he has a large family, it is sad. Not any less sad when anyone else dies, but that doesn't mean you have to be an ass about it. Just because you don't know him or his family doesn't mean you have to be rude. It was a sad situation, and this was a nice song a guy wrote about a close friend of his..that's all. Guess I should have known that a lot of people in here are just assholes who want everyone to pay attention to them, so they try even harder to look like a dick...and you're right at the top of that list.

The Angry American and American Soldier were two songs that he only sang during the many USO shows he went to (yeah...he's a real asshole for that too). After he played them for the Pentagon brass in Washington, the Marine Corps commandant asked him to release them to the radio and on an album for him and the military...he never even wanted to. Read up on your facts before you bash someone, attention whore. Toby and Wayman were close ever since Wayman was at OU.

Dude's received a hell of a lot of awards..and not just for those songs. He has talent..wouldn't have been given a record deal if he didn't. Unlike some styles of music, you have to have talent to get a country record deal.

lol..yeah..but if that's all someone sang about, they wouldn't release anything through a record company...it would be shot down immediately. You have to have a variety of ideas on an album...you don't want your consumers to be bored. I've released a country album myself, and I thought it was going to be easy to find 10 songs of different varieties for my album....I found, even with 32 songs I've written, it was hell finding a major difference in 10 songs...Of course I'm not signed to any labels or anything, I just released it and sold them personally, but damn...it was challenging.

my album is called This Time Around...and I never said it was badass..I put it together because I'm a decent singer and a good songwriter. Someone told me I should put an album together with my own music, so I did.
