Amazing speech by a Iraq War vet in case you missed it..

Poor and working people in this country are sent to kill poor and working people in another country so the rich can get richer. Our real enemy is not the ones living in a distant land whose names or policies we don't understand; The real enemy is a system that wages war when it's profitable, the CEOs who lay us off our jobs when it's profitable, the Insurance Companies who deny us Health care when it's profitable, the Banks who take away our homes when it's profitable. Our enemies are not several hundred thousands away. They are right here in front of us

Hmmm...

A socialist who never should have joined the military, ran for congress, and received a whopping 0.00194% of the war.

I find some of the things you come up with absolutely absurd Dan.

As far as I'm concerned, anybody who serves has every damn right in the world to express what he thinks this country is about, even if some of us choose to disagree.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron."

I didn't say that. We all have a right to voice our opinions. My God man... He only received 6 votes!

Maybe people that have seen more of him think him to be a complete joke...

1) Guns or Butter
2) General Dwight would be kicked out of the GOP today.

So if you oppose war you are a "socialist"?

Perhaps you don't realize, but once upon a time the GOP was the 'anti-war' party for a long time. In the late 1990s it was the GOP who was opposing a war. Why are you aligned with those 'socialists'?

It speaks to the accomplishment of our public "education" system in this country that a product of it would regard dissent with the state's war engagements with "socialism."

There is alot of advancements that came about from warfare. A few examples are gps, roads, styrofoam, and much more. Not to mention the great lives americans live is not from peace but from war. The ability for pussies to cry about war isn't from peace but from our willingness to go to war for our way of life. Shit peace has never come from not going to war but from us either going to war, or people believing America would.

If you are a socialist, then you are a socialist.
Once upon a time the GOP was willing to go to war for their beliefs (abolitionists). The leader of that GOP was against any kind of dissent in war time.

L. O. L.

"Socialism" does not mean opposition to war. Unless you are fucking stupid. And you are.

Yes, the GOP wanted to go to war. Against their own. And you continue.

Before I forget, the GOP presidential candidate of 1996 once decried "Democrat Wars" (ie WWI, WWII, Korea, & Vietnam). Now you pretend that the GOP has always been for the wars of the state of the 20th century. You do not know American history nor the history of the political party of which you suck its cock. You are fucking moron and a prime example of what is wrong with this country.

MB, the guy is a socialist. He ran for Congress as a socialist.

The rest of what you're saying is correct, if somewhat irrelevant.

That just makes the gentleman in question smart. If I were to run for office, it certainly would never be as a (D) or an (R). That two party hegemony has nothing to say that I would support. They're like a mobius strip: it looks like there's two sides until you trace it all the way around.

That's an awesome analogy. Too bad only like two other people will understand it though.
