I was about to make a similar thread. I'm watching the Nets vs Rockets and Devin freakin Harris is horrible...dude has not progressed one bit and he needs to get the hell out of NJ ASAP.

What happened on him this season?
He does not play defence any more,
can distribute the ball (same problem while he was playing for Mavs before)
bad shooting selection,
Turnover
hold ball more than 15 seconds for every possession
every his missed shot, led to at least two pts to the Rockets

One of them suits up 50 times a year and is on a team that lost 18 games before it won their first game. The other didn't.
But Harris was really good against Parker in 06!
Beating the Spurs is obviously the Mavs' championship...so i guess Kidd and Harris are about even.

I was one of those fans against the trade.
then I started thinking it's an even trade, as Harris is an injury prone
this season, I watch several Nets game. I turned to be very happy about the trade.
I hope that Harris won't become a cancer for Nets.
Like today game, everytime he is off court, Nets outplayed Rockets; after he came back, Rockets just got back or extended the lead
He did make some shots. But his shot selection is even worse than Terry's, :). Every his miss led to scores for the opponent.
If he passed a bit more to Lopz and Yi, the Nets would have won this one

Harris misses games...but i still don't think Kidd makes you a better team. Having Barea offsets the trade. Having Beaubois makes the trade practically a non-issue. That doesn't mean you got the better end of the Harris-kidd trade, though.

Kidd is averaging more rebounds, assists, steals, FT 3pt and FG %.
Harris is shooting 19% from 3.

I'd rather have 75 games of Kidd than 50 games of Harris, that's for sure. And I'd rather have 3 years of Kidd than 8 years of Harris when the Mavs are trying to get Dirk some help and stay relevant, whereas the Nets were rebuilding. Why can't the trade be win-win for both teams?
I was against the trade in the run-up to it when there were rumors the Mavs would make a play for Kidd, and in the first calendar year after they pulled the trigger, it looked like that was the right call. For the sake of being a Mavs fan, I am glad I was wrong. I was wrong to think that Devin Harris' potential meant passing on Kidd. Spurs fans can't look at everything that has transpired since then and conclude that it was a win-win for both sides, Dallas got an upgrade at PG for the last part of the Dirk era, and the Nets got a nice piece for their future.

I agree with you win-win for both sides. Dallas for now, because when Dirk stops playing or isn't on the team, who knows how they might do. And Nets future.
I'd say it's a win for the Nets and not because of the trade, because we have Brook. I'd take him over both Harris and Kidd, but I'll leave that story for another day

Devin Harris with a Jason Kidd impression tonight:
5 points in 36 minutes on 0-4 shooting from the floor, along with 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. He did have 5 turnovers though. Nets lose.
For the season, he's averaging 17 points and 6 assists per game on a sizzling 39% shooting, including 21% from behind the arc. Muy Caliente! At least we know that he can shoot and Jason Kidd can't (41% from the floor and 39% from three). Iron Man that he is, he has appeared in 24 out of 34 games.

If Harris is Iron Man, then I'm glad, because Iron Man is playing with Brook Lopez who has not missed a game this season or last season yet. While Kidd and Harris have both missed games, just the best player out of the three showing up the older men:toast
