Just wondering what peoples plans are this year. Crazy party? Staying home with the family? Don't really care about it at all? Just wondering. My friends are trying to talk me into going to 6th street, although I think I might just stay home with my little brother. 6th street is trouble.

I work at the mall in the morning and at the Spurs game in the early evening.
Then at 10 pm my husband and I are going to a special New Year's eve service at our church.

My days of hard partying for New Year's are gone. Just kicking back at home with the family. Most likely will be asleep come midnight.

Go to 6th street and end up with someone else's underwear on the next morning. You'll have a great time. A guy I'm talking to will be there. He extended an invite but I'm not that dumb.
I'll be ringing in the New Year with family, fireworks and a lot of alcohol. Should be major.

I hope 2010 is better than 2009. I will be happy even if 2010 is just slightly better than 2009. 2009 sucked ass in my opinion. How will you pronounce 2010? Will you say "twenty ten" , "two thousand and ten" , or "two thousand ten" ?

I'm going to spend it with the gf and be thankful that I've dodged another turbulent year. Almost losing a parent throughout the course of a year is exhausting to the point I don't even want to drink a celebratory champagne toast. I will, however, have a nice dinner out and probably put the blu-ray player to use. Who knows...I'm a last minute partier most of the times anyways.

I work at the AT&T Center as a hostess in the Terrace Club restaurant.

Every year, I'm sick on NYE for some reason. So we never make big plans to go out. This year, both of us are sick and LJ is never sick (this is only the 4th time total that LJ has been sick in our seven years of marriage). So most likely we will stay home with Nyquil :sleep

No. Bo and I are not big fans of alcohol. We had champagne when we got engaged and shared a bottle of wine earlier this month when celebrating the anniversary of our engagement.
But that has been the extent of it and we don't have plans to purchase any more alcohol any time soon.

Supposed to get together with some friends in Austin. We had WANTED to go downtown, but apparently a majority (if not all) of the places are charging a GRAND to get a table.
There's talk of possibly goin to the Iron Cactus in North Austin. Anybody ever been?

My favorite bar is invite-only for the night, so I'm having a few people over for dinner and drinks. Will probably pass out drunk on champagne a couple hours into 2010.

sounds like a special brownie night with some btjunkie bootleg movies and then try to watch the seaworld fireworks from the house...
gone are the days on the puro westside off of zazamora at my grandma's where we would light firecrackers in the streets and keep an eye out for cops...
if i'm up at midnight, i'll be suprised, but 10 years ago, i met up with wifey in corpus and we watched the sunrise on the beach on Jan 1st 2000...how quickly time flies by...10 years gone by already...damn...

Damn I grew up on the west side too. Off of Darby and couples rd. It was like pandemonium. I remember my sister lit a jumping jack and the fucking thing flew into a neighbors yard and caught a bush on fire. They just doused it with the water hose and laughed it off. Try to do that shit now!
Any ways the sunrise at the beach sounds nice. Ten years ago me and the wife were partying it up at river street in Savannah GA. All I can say is that was an epic night. Ten years man. Time fucking flies.
Every year we hang with my wife's family. We all get along great and have good times. But this year the wife wanted to change it up and reserved a hotel room downtown for 2 nights. Were going to party at La Villita. Supposedly there is going to be plenty of bands, beer and food. Has anyone gone to this? Is it a good time?

That sounds stellar. I've never been to the celebrations downtown for NYE but I'm really tempted to this year since I live down the street from the action. I could sit on one of my balconie and watch the fireworks if I wanted to. But no, I'm going to make the trek to Floresville to be with my parents and family. I'm sure you and your wife will have a great time - even if you decide to never leave the hotel room.

As usual I don't make plans till like the day of...last year went downtown Diego and payed a hundred bones for a ticket to this club-too bad we got so loose before that I only was in the club for an hour or so before i got kicked out with my buddy-somehow made it back to the hotel while my buddy got lost downtown and arrested for supposedly saying naughty things to girls he passed on the streets-f'ing idiot :rollin This year either be boring and stay home or about 3/4pm rolls around and I make a few calls and find something to do in SD or go up to newport beach
