Spurs have had bad games followed by a string of good games...they beat Denver on the road earlier in the year after bad losses to Toronto and Memphis...I hate that it happened last night to lose home court since Denver is such a tough away game because of the altitude and their current win streak but I haven't lost faith...

some bright spots:

1) its a seven game series instead of five like it used to be...

2) Nazr Mohammed...win or lose in the playoffs this year he is starting to look like he is comfortable on this team and is really starting to fit in...as much as I like Malik, Nazr is a better player, much more efficient and a good complement to Tim...

3) Tim Duncan...I am confident that Tim is gonna tear it up on Wednesday and dominate the game...I have never been afraid of Marcus Camby and I am not gonna start now...

We'll see what they've got on Wednesday.

I didn't think the Nuggets had a chance in San Antonio and they proved me dead wrong.

After what I saw last night, it's not impossible that they leave San Antonio up 2-0.

Cosmic Cowboy is absolutely correct. Even the games we've won in the playoffs could have been losses (Sean's shot could just as easily have missed by a fraction of an inch - and there were others). I believe Tim will begin to get his ryhthm, TP will run, run, run, Ginobili will continue driving to the basket, Nazi will get his rebounds and put-backs, and Bruce will continue to hounds Carmelo.

We'll be alright. It's just one game, and the law of averages caught up with us as far as missed shots.

We won't miss half as many on Wednesday, and win by 14 - 18 points.

The Nuggets are playing with lots of confidence, and have TONS more confidence after Sunday night, which negates any talent advantage the unconfident, shook-up Spurs may have. Yes, Spurs 0-2 is plausible.

0-17, like 0-4 in games 3,4,5,6 last May, is not a talent problem, it's a psychological problem.

Hitting 16 of 16 FTs, then missing 3 FTs in crunch time, is a psychological problem, not a talent problem. It's called choking.

But that doesn't prevent assholes here inanely braying on, as they will this week, about "Spurs need more talent", "the Spurs need shooters" (at one point last night, the Spurs were shooting well over 50%, well above their season avg, outshooting the Nuggets by several %age points). Spurs didn't got 59-23 because they lack talent.

Unless the Spurs blowout Denver in the next game and make a statement to put doubt in Denver's team, I am not so sure we can win this series in 6 games and actually would pray we can somehow someway pull it out in 7.

Spurs will win in 5 or 6 games.

Denver had their 15 mins of fame, SA has taken Denver's best shot and still outplayed them in every part of the game, but the scoreboard.

Spurs will win by at least 20 pts on Wednesday.

Well if we lose this series, IMO its better to lose now than in the Finals when we all have our hopes so high. Denver is confident right now against us, but how do you think the Suns of two years ago felt toward us? They were so arrogant and so cocky agaisnt us. Look what we did. This year may not go the same, but we shouldn't give up because of one loss. Let's wait until Wednesday and see how the Spurs respond.

Man, how do you lose game one???

That is just against the official rulebook of the Spurs...you do not lose to Denver in game 1....

Why did we have to be the only upset in round 1????????( dallas and houston don't count because they are close )

At least the Spurs stopped their never having won a playoff series when they lose Game 1...in 03 against Phoenix.

The Spurs just want to start another streak....winning a series when they lose game 1....it will be 2 straight.

10 minutes without a score tells you something. No professional team worthy of the name should miss that many without a gut check. All teams have to do is prevent Manu and TP from taking the lane by using a zone and the choke level comes up.
