I can't believe the Sixers and Clippers are going to be shown on TNT on Thursday night. That has fail written all over it. I would rather watch the Jazz-Thunder game than this shitty game. And what about the Heat and Spurs as the first game? Why not put the Jazz-Thunder game as the first one then finish the doubleheader with the Mavs-Rockets game?

Wow no one is going to watch that game because most ppl are already underway with their New Year's preparations.

The schedule schedule was decided back when they thought they'd be able to show Blake Griffin. Philly was pretty fun to watch last year in that series with Orlando too, so I can understand them being chosen.

I think TNT aired the crappiest game they could find simply because this game is on New Year's Eve and no one is going to be watching anyway.

I think every team gets at least one appearance on TNT, so of course they bury this one on NYE.

teams get rewarded. didnt espn or abc scramble and changed the schedule of the rockets when they had the 22 game streak. that got them desperate to have houston on tv

In all fairness the large broadcasting companies are given a say on what games they could air on national TV during the second half of the season.
They changed up for the Rox-Lakers. That was their 22nd win

sons, I bet I still watch a piece of this game just because I love watching sports games on holidays.
it's like a tradition, a treat. it's awesome. your whole family and guests in the house, walking around, talking everywhere, party/family gathering atmosphere, and a handful of peoples watching the game.
i like it. even if it is the sixers and clippers.

I wonder if the regular TNT crews will be doing these games or did they request off because it's a holiday?

Nope.
I believe every team gets a National telecast (it may or may not include NBA TV).
