Van Pelt on Sportscenter is creaming his pants over the Ginobili play. They just had a top 10 NBA plays of the decade, and Kobe's game winning buzzer beater against the Suns in the '08 (?) playoffs was #1.

Van Pelt - "Ginobili's play is officially better than that play." :lol

I just watched some of Manu's passes.. that's just beautiful basketball. Manu did everything tonight at a very high level and if he remains healthy i expect him to continue playing inspired ball from hereon. He's versatile enough to contribute in so many ways.

You can't stop Manu when he's confident, the guy may be one of the best SG in the world when he plays with this kind of confidence.

Manu is just an incredible talent. The touch pass to Jefferson IMO was his best of the night, but he showed why so much is riding on his health. And one reason why I love having him with that second group, he just will just make the game easier for our bench guys.

LOL that's just a fucked up pass..running out of bounds, has to have some kind of control of the ball, has to throw it behind his back, AND has to make the pass accurate enough to reach a cutter coming in at a tough angle..

play of the year..

sportan73
12-30-2009, 04:56 AM
ESPN Top 10 #1 play!!! Just saw it on sportscenter. NBA.com somehow only rated it the #4 play. I think ESPN had his earlier look to RJ at #9 as well.

HarlemHeat37
12-30-2009, 05:05 AM
#4?!..that's fucking ridiculous..I don't think some people are grasping how tough of a pass that is..the guy wasn't just standing there, he was RUNNING when he caught it..

Cool, can't wait to see it, about to fire up the game. =) I see Manu with 10 assists and Tony with 8, that to me is absolutely great news for the spurs.

It means they must both now realize the best protection for getting their own offense is by using their outstanding playmaking abilities to get other teammates going offensively. And it makes the spurs that much better which is the ultimate goal, not scoring 45 or 55 a night.

sickest behind the back pass I've ever seen :wow:wow:wow:wow

Screw this pass. Good one of course, but Did I or didn't i see him make the following pass:

A two handed bounce pass that went between two defenders and that was figured out with just the right trajectory and force to bounce above the rim in a perfect position for Duncan to make what amounted to an bounce pass alley-oop dunk. Man, that's too crazy!

I'm still wondering if If my eyes weren't lyin' but I've never seen that done before in any game anywhere by anyone. Can anyone find that and post it or was I dreamin'????

Dont get me misunderstood here i loved to see the old MG back in action, i just hate to see him inconsistant, if he starts putting up good numbers consistanly from this point on the SPURS will be right back in the mix.. Spurs go as MG goes, if he stumbles SPURS will stumble.. So i hope we start to see more of the same from the X-factor..

The behind the back pass was great.
My favoured pass was the pick and roll with McDyess.
He didn't even see McDyes was coming.
He just "knew" it, and the ball was there, served like a hot dish in a 3 stars Michelin restaurant.

For the first time in two years, I thought Manu had COMPLETE control of the ball game.

Scary thing is, he can do this every game if he sets his mind to it. All he's gotta do is move away from the scorer's mentality and into the playmaking one. He's much more dangerous when he's passing the ball and not trying to score every time.

A great pass by Manu always seems to get the crowd pumped even more than a dagger 3 or drive to the bucket. He has a unique ability to get the adrenaline pumping as a fan with his creative playmaking abilities.
