This is getting almost comical... :depressed

Here we go again.

The injury-depleted Trail Blazers have encountered another setback as reserve guard Steve Blake has been hospitalized with pneumonia.

Blake, who has shown signs of being sick for weeks, was admitted to a local hospital Friday morning and is expected to remain there for a few days. He will miss Saturday night’s game versus the Golden State Warriors at the Rose Garden and possibly more as he is out indefinitely.

Rudy and Batum are due back soon, no? More Bayless now and that is a good thing.

Bayless is averaging 17 ppg, 5 apg and has a 3+/1 assist/turnover ratio in the six games he's played 25 minutes or more. Portland is 5-1 in those six games.

Yup. There was probably some truth to the earlier reports that Nate wants to play Bayless more but can't because of Roy's love for Blake. No Blake, no choice.

Oh and mills is actually better now. I forgot he was sent to the d league to try and get back in. Game shape earlier this week.. they will probably be calling for him quickly.

And rudy and batum are expected back at the very end of the month if things go as planned(knocks on wood)

OMG I can't believe it.
I hope Batum rudy will be back soon and Portland can still run after a PO spot

My thing is, Portland tried/did screw the living shit out of Utah this summer. I mean, Pritchard went out of his way to stick it right in their eye. Which is something GM's just don't do. So sorry, Portland, I normally liked that team and wouldn't wish injury on anyone, but hey, just desserts.

Pistons haven't had nearly as much bad luck as Portland, but in the early part of this season, Rip, Ben Gordon, and Will Bynum all had sprained ankles. Then yesterday, the third game BG and Rip had come back, both Rodney Stuckey and Ben Wallace sprained their ankles. Again, not as horrible as what Portland is going through, but pretty weird coincidentally as well. 5 guys on the same team all with sprained ankles about 30 games into the season.

He's just pissed because we signed Millsap to an offer sheet that Utah had to match.

By trying to sign a FA is screwing them? That is just being an over sensitive cry baby.

losing Blake doesn't really hurt from a talent standpoint, but it's just strange at this point..

I'm thinking this year you should schedule the parade route around the hospital. That way the players can be involved.

It's possible Aldridge will play next game. He shouldn't miss more than 1 or 2 hopefully.

why hasn't anyone said this is no surprise for trying to screw people over with the miles situation?

Probably because that would be idiotic. Memphis is the team that screwed us over in that instance. Have you seen Darius Miles lately?... Didn't think so.

Because it's obvious this is all Bad Karma caused by tlongII and other Blazer fans who inundated the forums with delusional posts.

Nothing delusional at all. The Lakers reign at the top of the West is close to the end.

One game, does he really have NBA 3 point range?

lil_penny
01-02-2010, 06:48 PM
im not sure how his range is but with the injuries that have happened and the amount the other rookies have stepped up, im willing to take a chance with bringing mills in a.s.a.p. plus ive been waiting a while to see this dude play haha.

They didn't try to sign a free agent. They had no desire to make Millsap a part of their team. None. Zero. All they were trying to do is fuck over Utah. And not even from a basketball standpoint; they knew we'd match and our team wouldn't look significantly different right now had they not made that offer.

It was taboo signing that no other GM in the league would have been lowly enough to make. Made even more scummy because it's not like we were on a mission to sign someone else. I mean, Portland gained nothing. Pritchard just went out of his way to cost us millions that we didn't intend to spend elsewhere. As long as he's GM, fuck the Blazers.
