My wife is funny.

"If you were worried about Florida beating Texas a month ago, why the fuck are we watching them play Cincinnati? They'll beat the shit out of them."

She looked at the TV and LOL'ed, then walked away.

Tebow career-high passing yards in a game. And we're 90 seconds into second half.

Where was this from Florida against Bammer? Tebow has thrown some of the best passes of his career in this game.

There's no way that baseball windup of his is gonna work in the NFL.

yeah, but that needed to happen so we don't have to listen about all these teams who think they should be in the title game when they finish undefeated. sometimes, you just know...

i know utah won against bama and boise state beat ou, but both of those games outcome would have a hard time repeating itself. further, they are the exception, not the norm.

There are 3 undefeated teams not playing in the championship game and 2 of those are playing each other. Someone was going to finish with an undefeated record outside of the BCS Natinoal Champion. No situation was going to stop the controversy.

Cincy was clearly overmatched and wrecked by the shennanigans of their coach bolting.

Of course, the way they barely won games against weak comp all year didn't bode well for this game.

Thats bullshit. the coach left, and the interim coach was hired at Buffalo. If the Head Coach(Kelly) thinks this game is meaningless how do you think these kids felt.

I think they would have put up more of a fight if Kelly had stayed.

...that being said.....TCU would have kicked Florida's ass.

Please. When will fans finally wake up an realize that Boise St, TCU, Utah, and BYU are just better than these other teams?

No, they wouldn't have. Cincinnati's defense looked flat horrible late in the year. In three of their last four games they gave up 45pts to UConn, 36pts to Illinois and 44pt to Pitt. They never stood a chance.

This bowl game was set up to do one thing...to send the NCAA's messiah out on a white horse. After losing to Bama there is no way they match Florida up against TCU or Boise and risk Tebow losing two in a row.

The non-BCS teams have won all but one game when they have had a chance to play in a BCS bowl game. In my opinion, the BCS is sick of having to hear every year how the system sucks and is flawed so they put both BSU and TCU in a no win situation.

Cincy should have played BSU because the teams would be perfect for each other. TCU and FL would have been perfectly matched. We would have had 4 solid BCS bowl games and one that no one cared about with Iowa in it.
