Had he started Tim I think the starting defense would've been a lot better, Toronto wouldn't have the confidence they were playing with (when Timmy came in cold). Starting Tim and taking him out at the 5 minute mark instead of the usual 2 minute mark to give him more rest I believe would've been the difference.
If he starts Tim in the 2nd half I'll know that he regretted his decision of not starting Tim the first time around.

He should know better. He has been setting screens for the best off-screen player currently in the NBA when he was in Detroit, Rip Hamilton, I don't get how he does not get the playbook 30 games into the season. We need those screens to get players open to drive to the basket.

Here's what I don't understand. Pop doesn't start Duncan this game, yet when the Spurs are in a hole, he starts to play him, and so far it ends up messing w/ the team's chemistry, yet last year (on national TV I presume)against Denver Pop decided to bench both Manu, TP, and TD, and pretty much decided to "settle for the loss". Pop's thought process is obviously very different. He wants to experiment, shake things up to see how the team responds to a very different scenario. Winning this particular game would be nice but Pop knew there was likelihood the players would play confused and disjointed. Pop likes taking people out of their comfort zone and observing how they react .. could provide useful insight for later games. Whatever the outcome, Pop is undoubtedly making his observations for later analysis with the coaching staff.
