I hate the Lakers, but they have the best commentator in the league, knowledgeable and non-homer.

The Knicks and the Nets have them. They have guys who do national TV.

I LOVE our homer announcers! :lol

Wild Rice especially!

I think he's the only announcer that's been ejected from a game. :lmao

The guys I can't stand are Tommy Heinsohn and Cornbread Maxwell. Have you heard Maxwell with his "Quack Quack!" shit? That's embarrassing.

Story?

I'd have to look it up, but I think it was Javie. Rice went off on him over a bad call and Javie threw him out.

Here it is...

Javie's first public incident came during the 1990–91 NBA season in a game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Bullets at the Capital Centre on April 4, 1991.[3] Bullets' forward Pervis Ellison was called for a personal foul[7] and then threw the ball at referee Billy Spooner.[3] Javie ran across the court to impose a technical foul on Ellison for this action.[7] In the sequence of events that followed, Javie ejected Ellison after protesting the call,[7] the Bullets' head coach Wes Unseld for protesting the dismissal of Ellison, and the Bullets' mascot, "Hoops", for making gestures to incite the crowd.[3] Rod Thorn, then the NBA's vice president for operations, ruled that Javie overreacted in ejecting Ellison and would be subject to discipline.[7] The extent of the disciplinary action was not disclosed.[7] Javie reflected on the experience saying, "My fatal mistake was getting involved with Billy [Spooner] and Pervis [Ellison] in the first place. You have to be there for your partners, but most of the time you've got to let them call their game."[3]

Nearly three years later in another game involving the Portland Trail Blazers, Trail Blazers radio broadcast analyst Mike Rice was ejected by Javie in an unprecedented action for disputing calls from his broadcast position.[8] In the third quarter of the game in Indianapolis, Indiana, Rice made a "choke" gesture towards Javie in disagreement over a goaltending violation non-call on shot attempt by Portland's Cliff Robinson.[8] After a verbal exchange between Javie and Rice, Rice was removed from the broadcast and escorted to the locker room area by arena security.

The Blazers and Celtics have the worst announcers by far. Third is the Cavs. Listening to any of those guys makes me want to punch a baby in the face. The Hornets aren't even in the conversation.

1. Tommy Heinsohn
2. Portland Trailblazers announcers

THIS But add the nuggets and suns when they are playing the spurs.

the clippers, lakers, kings, and the ny announcers are the best.

My favorite is Sean E., but he is a homer, yet funny and complimentary of other team's players. Eddie Jones once said that he wished that someone would just take Manu out (which is a ridiculous thing to say; yet,it is strangely satisfying because he had just torn the suns a new one. :lol) :flag:

People always bitch and moan about Sacramento's announcers, not sure why, but I also think Grant and Jerry are pretty good.
