Everyone wants to blame someone else,.. the refs, the coaches, the players, etc. But we got everything we wanted in the forth, but couldnt buy a basket. Its one game.. and its not an "upset".

What ever happened to the real fan, the one that says,... "its one game.. its a seven game series for a reason.. i was born a spurs fan, and i will die one." right here,.. I am that guy. And as far as this series goes.. we are still going to win that Trophy baby!

And I know i'm probaby going to get flamed for this but i've got an opinion, to read it was your choice.

Enough Said :flipoff

Can you believe there are still tickets available for game 2, yet in Denver games 3,4, and 6 sold out in 7 minutes? Are we getting spoiled as Spurs fans?

There is too much pride in this organization, and any true Spurs fan
knows we will win this series. One loss does not mean series over.
This one has just begun.

Yes. Some Spurs "fans" are so spoiled at the Spurs making the playoffs, that many don't even start really rooting until the 2nd Round.

Kinda sad, really.

Always been a Spurs fan since day one. But it was sad after Sunday night to get ragged on by my friend in Chicago. Its been a long time since he's been able to say anything to me about losing. But anyways I think I was more pissed than the actual players after game 1 but I still had faith that they will come back strong to finish the series off and send the Nuggets up those Rocky Mountains.

I'm even worse off than you are. I lived in suburban Denver from 1998-2000 and managed a bar in Littleton. In 1999, the Nuggets were the worst team in basketball after the strike and I had the big screen on the Spurs-Knicks series with audio, and I really pissed off some of the regulars. Remember, Denver is a hockey town and they wanted to watch the Av's play.

Sunday night about 10:30 I got a phone call from my old boss Shelley from a very loud, boisterous bar. Man, was I pissed. It was like rubbing salt into an open wound.

No, it's a Bronco town.

Yup, you're right. They even won the Super Bowl that year. But in May, they wanted to see the NHL playoffs.

Look at the intensity and superb basketball, playing and coaching, of the Rockets vs Mavs Mon ngiht, if you really want to feel embarrassed by the shitty performance the Spurs put on in the 4th qtr, and generally thorughout the game.

The Spurs 4th qtr wasn't "missing a few shots", and I appreciate Pop's need to lie to and cover-up with the media. He knows the problem was totally bigger and differeent.

The Spurs were not ready the playoffs Sunday night. No intensity, no focus, no fire, playing as if nothing was at stake. And then TNT crewed saw it.

Tim as team captain, leader, and Mr. Franchise, and Pop are responsible for setting the team culture in general and team tone specificially for the playoffs.

Now they've blown HCA, lost control/momentum of the series, and put enormous pressure on themselves just to stay alive Wed night.

It's not a 7-game series, it's a 4-loss series.

Splitting at home by giving away the playoffs opener (not by getting beat), for the most dominant home team in the NBA, is something that's OK by you fans?

The best the Spurs can do now is go to Denver to start 5-game series without HCA, starting with two games on the road in the hostile altitude of Denver. Perhaps the Spurs will reverse the season (best at home, shitty on road) and for playoffs be whatever at home, and great on the road. Now they have no choice.

The Spurs weren't ready for the playoffs and they choked in the 4th.

Go Spurs Go
