Expand that list

Grizzlies 16-16
Hornets 15-16
Clippers 14-18 (Blake's a few weeks away)

There's like 12 teams who are trying to get into the Playoffs.

So much for the Suns being a surefire playoff team like everyone (including myself) thought after November.

I think the Grizz really are making the Playoffs.

And I think one of either the Clippers or Hornets will be right there looking at #8 as well.

Much props to Blazers for holding it down with ALL of the injuries. BUT it will wear them down eventually ..blessing is maybe they hold on to Bayless but trust me once healthy Blazers will have rotation issues ...No way Bayless will be happy sitting and he shouldnt have to ...dont think Bayless and Roy will workout ogether longtem ...it's similar to Kobe and Eddie jones we gace up Eddie for less value but it freed up Kobe neither guy is THAT good ...but this won't work ...

I don't know what to make out of this season...it's like musical chairs.

Hornets are only 3 losses out of 3rd place and the Clippers are only 5 behind 3rd place :lol

I agree. I think them and OKC slip in.

Meanwhile, IMO, the Suns Jazz and Hornets are all one trick pony teams that have been running the same shit for several years that people have figured out. I see those three teams slipping down the stretch, and it's good that point guard dominated basketball is slipping. It's not entertaining at all to watch the point guard dominate the ball while the other 4 players stand around and watch.

Look at the loss column. Your percent win advantage comes from having played more games than SA. Fail.

Win 2 out of your next 3. Then you can say Fail.

I think the Suns will be ok. But the Jazz are a different story.

Houston and Portland have been great all things considered but they gotta run out of gas sooner or later.

Yah, I agree. I can't see us keeping it up. However, we do have Brandon Roy who is one of the top 5 players in the league imo.

I agree but I dont think much should be taken from the spurs loss to the Raptors, it was their 6th game in 9 days flying all over the country. I was suprised they did as well as they did considering their previous play before that stretch.

I hope they have their legs for the Lakers game! Win or lose, I want to at least have the Spurs compete in their first matchup of the year.

You're right, Raptors game was nothing to worry about...just one of those off games that happens after the Holidays.

The bigger concern is the team's road record and record versus +.500 teams; that's my reasoning for thinking the Spurs are going to have a rough January.

Hell yea, that got me up off my seat lol

The game was a good game by both teams last night. Minus roy and bayless. Everyone stepped up especially webster miller, and howard. It was a 6 man rotation so it took a toll.. the clips played a great game and deserved the win. Hopefully we get lma back tonight and blake on Friday.

The road record has gotten better as of late, 6-7, it was much worse. I would however like to see a some wins against +.500 teams though.

Blazers definitely deserve props for staying afloat but this likely wont last like people have already said. A first round exit is probably as far as this team goes...I love Bayless' game and confidence/attitude though, has probably become my favorite non-Spurs player. What are his averages since he started getting major minutes?

Too much stock is put into that record against .500+ teams, especially considering the circumstances of some those games...Spurs had like 4 or 5 of these games early in the season where they were missing either Tony, Manu, Tim or a combination of two of them. After that they lost close games vs healthy Celtics, vs healthy Thuggets, @Utah, and @Phoenix...no shame in that especially considering the fact that the team was still fairly inconsistant during that time and not playing as well as they have been lately. Same with the road record, they started off like 0-5 or 0-6 if Im not mistaken, now theyre like 6-7. I'd put more stock into the Spurs record against .500+ teams from now forward this upcoming stretch should be a good measuring stick to see how the Spurs measure up against the other top teams.

Portland is going to lead the league next season in candidates for "come back player of the year". I mean that as a good thing.
