Yahoo! Sports' NBA analyst Steve Kerr makes his points on the postseason in his personal playoff blog.

SUNDAY, APRIL 24

Denver 93, San Antonio 87
The Denver Nuggets proved what we already knew coming into their series with the San Antonio Spurs: They are a tough matchup for Tim Duncan and company. With three big men taking turns on Duncan, the Nuggets shut down the Spurs in the fourth quarter and pulled off the upset in Game 1.

Duncan is visibly out of rhythm after a long layoff with an ankle injury. Denver's defense forced Duncan and the Spurs into just 4-for-21 shooting in the fourth quarter. The matchups for San Antonio are tough in the backcourt as well. Earl Boykins has the speed to at least stay with Tony Parker, and Andre Miller has the strength to try to wear down Parker at the offensive end. Parker shot 6-for-17 as he was hounded all night, while Miller was a force in scoring 31 points.

For San Antonio to even the series, Parker must be more aggressive and try to take the game to Boykins and Miller, instead of the other way around. The Spurs have been here many times, so they won't panic. But Duncan has to find his game soon because Denver is going to battle him the entire series.

GO SPURS!!!!!
