Since I'm going to be at the game (first time since the 2007 Finals) might as well put it all down on SA.

I always go all in. I will either be rich or dirt poor. Just don't send LJ to break my knee caps. I promise to pay up.

This is tougher than it appears. Pistons have lost 10 straight and seem like the sort of team that could make things close.

:smokin This is going to be good. I think the Spurs are happy to be at home, and still a little pissed about the opportunity Pop blew for them against the Raps.

I know Detroit may be hungry to turn things around, but it's going to be hard to do that at the AT @ T Center when our boys should be hungry as well.

pissed at Pop? Pop didn't make them miss shots, regardless who was starting the game.

it doesn't matter how we start, it's how we finish. Duncan finished the game out, and we had a chance, but we missed it.

you can blame Pop all you want, though. that might make you feel better.

I think it does matter how we start and how we finish. If we started without Timmy every game until a couple minutes after the second quarter starts, I will wager a lot of money that we would lose many more games than we would win.

Pop's decision threw the Spurs rhythm off. I think the trend all started at the beginning of the game. And the decision to start a very strange line-up was all Pop's fault.

Obviously, the guys missing shots was all their fault, but the flow of the game was off since the start of the game and it was too late to right the ship at the end.

Spurs should win the game, but I'd be cautious about thinking it will be a double digit win. In this long losing streak, the Pistons were without Rip, Tay, and Gordon for the first 5-6 games. And when they returned, all three had played poorly. Last night was the first night Rip was actually hitting his jumper and the first time Tay looked like an actually serviceable NBA player. Even with the back-to-back, I think the Pistons might be starting to play better. Again, don't doubt that the Spurs should win this game. Just not sure if I'd bet money (vbookie or not) that they'll win by 10+.

my feelings exactly. This is one of those games the underdog comes out fired up and ready, especially with the Mavs game being pretty damn close and the streak being so long. The pistons are mediocre without the injuries, but they're not lose 10+ straight in a row bad at all. I already bet for 10+ because spurs had rest, but it's a tough call.

I think that being so close in the mavs game last night and not coming out with a win is gonna be a killer to their psych. I can see them coming out flat tonight

Fair point, and would be even more relevant if they still had all their injuries. But, with Rip and Tay and Gordon back, those are the guys that will determine how close the game will be, and they've already been through pretty much everything in the league. The close loss damaging psyches happens to younger players, not as much to experienced veterans. And, already last night, Coach Kuester shortened the rotation and gave fewer minutes to the younger players who had been playing so much. Fatigue shouldn't be much of an issue because the team had a nice break before last night and as mentioned guys like Rip and Tay and BG have only been back for a handful of games so they are fresher than most players at this point in the season. If the Pistons can just be a little more consistent shooting the basketball tonight, I think it can be a pretty close game.

I went for the over, but I could also see the Pistons keeping it close for pride.

I am not of age to bet anything yet, only vbookie. Especially not in Singapore where the only sports bets are local soccer and soccer in general. No real cash. Only vbookie. I bet $40000 Spurstalk cash so I expected the Spurs to show up.

Tell you what, sitting in the stands after three quarters last night I had pretty much given up hope of seeing any return on my investment. Good thing the defense got turned up about three notches in the fourth.
