Even Vince couldn't look at the kid when Colt was trying to talk to him on the sidelines. His face said "don't talk to me pussy. Get on the damn field."
Vince Young is a fucking Legend... Colt who?

The only sports player in the history of sports I have ever wished injury on and wanted to dance on their grave is Kobe Bryant. I hope he shits his entrails and dies a painful death. Other than that, aggy, ou, mav, whatever, I wish injury on noone and believe in beating the best to be the best.
Trolling aside, if you hate UT that bad, then that's your right, but if you like good football you just can't be happy with the way this game went even if you wanted Bama to win. What a waste. Colt might as well have gone to the draft and let us begin the Gilbert Era.
That will be the three word summary of this season:
What A Waste.
Colt prays every day of his life to his God and appears on I Am Second commercials.
Meanwhile McElroy gets to be undefeated since 8th grade.
Goes to show everyone horns fan or no that god does not exist. Give it up there is no salvation. No final glory.
Let's hurry up and begin spring practice, lol.
Idiot Atheist. No need to spew your blasphemous crap here boy.
Your Liberal feces infested school got what it deserved you fool.
I have no problems with Colt. He's a good kid who got recruited into that hell-hole where obviously his convictions are not consistent with that idiotic establishment. You are a prime example of why I have always hated that school and what it stands for.
Sour grapes for you my lad. Sour grapes. Welcome to mediocrity for years to come.
Idiot.

Why play and risk permanent injury and a big contract in the NFL? All you guys criticizing him would have done the same thing. You guys dont think Colt wanted to play? He was smart for not coming back.
Thinking about the NFL while your team is in the NC game is bullshit, and he didnt even dislocate or separate his shoulder, he sprained it. It would have been different if he came back and tried to play with it, but the pussy didn't even do that because "daddy" held him out. Your last college game of your career, with a chance to showcase yourself and your toughness, and he didn't do it. He'll be lucky to even get drafted

Have we heard that the pro career was mentioned? If so, can someone post a link? Thanks.

I don't have a link, but his pro career was definitely mentioned during the broadcast of the game. In the 3rd quarter after he came back out on the field, they definitely said he was advised to stay out of the game so that he wouldn't damage his draft stock/pro career any further.

'fraid not
we recruit undersized smart coaches son white guys for offensive linemen, and we just happened to recruit a small number of them the last two years. This texas team has focused on recruiting QB's and WR's and Defense and has completely overlooked RB's and OLmen. If the guys we have next year do not perform or get hurt we are fucked like OU was this year.
Maybe for next season but we have a couple of good ones coming in like Espinosa who could cause damage next year but most likely the year after. All in all it wasn't the line that f'd up yesterday, bama was rocked and scared early and didn't want to be there. No injury and we capitalize and go up 14-0 and bama is rocked and down. Oh well, at least Gilbert showed some guts, we'll be fine.

He should have thought about that BEFORE he decided to come back this year and play for a NC

Damn some of the biased Texas fans are idiots. McCoy doesn't have an NFL future ahead of him. He may be holding a clipboard for a few seasons and then he'll go back to Texas as an assistant or something.
I've said it before, Bradford is a better QB than McCoy is, but I don't even see a future NFL career for Bradford either. He hasn't really shown me that he can be a great NFL QB. Heisman winning quarterbacks are never great in the NFL. The only one that was a great QB that won the Heisman was Roger Staubach, everyone else stinks.
Torretta, Charlie Ward, Jason White, Matt Leinart, Andre Ware, Danny Wuerffel.
I guess the biggest plus McCoy got is that he didn't win the Heisman, but he's got no arm.

Most of them do stink...but Carson Palmer is one of recent vintage that doesn't necessarily stink...

Id McCoy was wondering why his arm felt like a noddle after the hit, that's because it's always been a noodle arm.

This was such a disappointment. To get knocked out on the 5th play of the game is a terrible thing to happen to Colt. Though Bama won this really wasn't the game we all wanted to see.
Colt stated that he couldn't throw the football because his arm was dead. The fact that he felt no pain is irrelevant. If you can't feel your arm you can't throw the football. For some that seems to be something they can't get a handle on. Going back into the game would have been even worse that having Gilbert out there. And I don't think he was even thinking about his NFL prospects, either. There isn't any link to it and though the broadcasters did say that he didn't. Watching and lisitening to him for these last four years tells me that he wanted to go back but couldn't. It was just an unfortunate injury which robbed all football fans of a really great championship game.
As for Gilbert I have to give him props for his efforts. To be thrown in there like that and get to within 3 points was a tremendous effort on his part. His lack of experience and his unfamiliarity with the first unit was telling especially with that shovel pass just at the end of the first half.
I was thinking that maybe they would throw some wildcat at them with Chiles but that never happened. Wonder why they didn't at least try. They had nothing to lose at that point.
Congrats to 'Bama but they didn't beat the "true" Texas team. Football is football and injuries are part of the game. Even Ingram got banged up and left the game but losing Ingram for many plays didn't have the same effect as losing your starting QB for the entire game. If he had been hit just a few inches higher or lower he probably doesn't get knocked out. The Horns most likely score at least one TD if not two. Then again maybe not. That's why they play. "Bama has a tremendous D but they didn't face Colt for the entire game. Without Colt this team is just very good but not a BSC cahampionship caliber one.
Props to the UT football team for not giving up which they could have easily done since Colt is the team. They don't get to Pasadena without his efforts.
Though the BSC Championship game was a huge dissappointment all in all this season was a very good one for the Horns. Injuries like Colt's can't be predicted. Those things just happen.
Now the Gilbert era begins. Will see what this brings. When Colt started I believed that the Horns had a rebuilding year or two in front of them but he surprised me as well as many others.

colt did not even look hurt anymore when he came outI thought he looked scared.
by parading him onto the sidelines in pads they only made him look like an even bigger pussy than he already was when he got hurt on a regular option play.Putting him on the sideline in pads maybe wasn't the best move. Maybe it's protocol or something. Just following orders...
It seems to be generally accepted here that Colt mcCoy's absence in the BCS Championship fits a well-known pattern of whinging (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Whinge) and malingering. Of which, this wino was blissfully unaware until just now...
Congrats colt ...
glad to get your fragile ass outta here and start the Gilbert Era already. That's exactly what he did. I'm ready for it. From the vantage of halftime and 24-6, it looked like the result might be much worse than it eventually was.
