Erick Dampier said he's much improved at practice today and considers himself likely to play Friday night against San Antonio.

And quickly after that he said: "Let's just call it a game-time decision.''

Dampier went through practice Thursday with no problems.

Damn! I saw a pic of Bird not too long ago where he was rocking a 12-pack. I think what happens is that they have to eat a lot to keep from losing weight when they play 82 games a year and scrimmage just as much...then when they lose weight they stop exercising so much but eat the same.
