This is going to be a real tough game for the Pats. Welker out for the year is a major blow to the team. If the Pats do indeed win this game, it will be their final win of the season.

Dude please. We have not EVER beaten you guys period, and we are going to come to Fox and beat you? I will be VERY surprised if we come out of this game with a win. Joe Flacco has been playing like complete shit the last couple of weeks. Bellichick is gonna blitz the shit out of him. Even all the journalist here (the non-homer ones) are calling for it to be close, but NE pulling it out.

The ravens are made for the playoffs and Rice is hard to gameplan against. I hope the pats running game shows up, and Moss has to test that secondary.
Either way, I see a close game, and hope the Pats put it off.

So it DID touch one of the Baltimore players...which leads me to a question on something that's been buggin me for DAYS.

The Ala-Tx game, a similar play happened and it didn't look like the ball actually touched a 'Bama player. TX pounces on it and it's TX ball. Anyone remember that?

Edit: Oops. Forgot my question. In NCAAF, are the rules different? Does the ball not HAVE to touch the receiving team's player to be considered a live ball?

Amazingly, NE is winning the time-of-possession battle. With the way Flacco is playing I'm not sure if Baltimore can put together long drives. They've been getting great field position so far because of Brady's turnovers

It's the difference between a punt and a kickoff. The moment the ball goes 10 yards on a kickoff, it's a live ball.

Should Pats go for 2 if they get a touchdown so that they only need 11 points to tied the game?

If they do then they need 2 td's, 2 2point convertions, and a field goal.

Plus if they dont convert they'll still be down 13 and they could still win with 2 td's.

If you're referring to the era where they won 3 superbowls, it was over already. Those teams were built around defense with an offense that ran the ball well, spread the ball around a lot, and emphasized ball control. Virtually all of the defensive starters from those teams are gone now, the offense can't run the ball for jack shit, does anything but spread the ball around, and does anything but control the ball.

I was actually just referring to Kelley Washington running his mouth to the Patriots fans.

But you're right, that eras been over for a while. I think now its just safe to say that a rebound is not gonna happen.

It could happen depending on the moves made this off season. I think Belichick needed this season to realize that no matter how good a coach he believes he is NE can't have such a lack of talent at running back and linebacker.

florige

It wasn't Harbaugh's fault moreso than the assholes upstairs. He had no good view of it and I am pretty sure the jumbotron operators in NE weren't replaying it over and over so he could get a clear look.

Props to you florige and to the rest of the Ravens. They kicked the Patriot's asses today. In a way I am relieved. The Pats would of had this happen to them next week in Southern California.

Thanks dude! I was really surprised, but still optimistic when we went up 24-0. If, and that is a big IF. If we beat the Colts Saturday, I think we are winning the SuperBowl.
