No...Spurs had equal or better talent on the court tonight against the Mavs. Their issue, as it has been consistently throughout the early part of this season, was inconsistency.

They played up to their talent level and as if they had been playing together for years throughout much of the first half and most of the third quarter...then they got tired and completely out of synch.

No, Bonner and/or Fin wouldn't have helped secure a victory in this one.

Bonner might have helped a little bit. Finley would not have.

But injuries are a part of the game. If the Spurs being able to win hinges on Bonner and Finley, there are some huge problems.

SO nobodys buying BONNERS 3pt shots could have helped instead of DICE fouling over and over

He posted up the smalls because the Spurs chose to switch rather than fight through screens and were left with horrible mismatches.

I'm pretty sure the Spurs had designs to put bigs like Blair and McDyess on Dirk, but they got in early foul trouble and were mostly ineffective. All things considered, RJ did a decent job in his one-on-one matchup for most of the game.

Bonner would've found himself in foul trouble guarding Dirk. He defends Dirk better than most like to credit him for but the refs DO NOT respect him so they'll call those touch fouls if he's guarding Dirk.

Bonner certainly could of helped offensively. He was instrumental in the first meeting hitting a huge three that gave the spurs some breathing room after dallas closed to within 4 points in the closing minutes.

+1...Bonner may have helped a bit on O stretching the floor and I can't believe I'm saying this but maybe even on Dirk a little bit as far as height is concerned...
