"nothing to see here. the mavs once again won their "superbowl" and the spurs still obviously have a ways to go."

"Mavs are becoming the Aggies of the NBA. Their entire reason for existing and the only reason their fans get excited is for beating their rival. Championships are tangential."

Good win for the Mavs. It's important to take care of business against teams like the Bucks, Pacers, T-Wolves, Sixers and Spurs. You don't want to give away games like this because it will definitely come back to haunt you later when it comes to playoff seeding.

No need to celebrate or anything, because our beloved boys in North Texas still have lots of work they need to do.

You can only take away one thing:

1) 4 rings fa**ot

I also forgot to mention: We had both Finley and Bonner injured, so it doesn't count.
It's like the Lakers beating the Mavs without Dampier...

3) The Spurs are at the late nineties Cowboys with Emmitt, Aikman and Irvin stage.

Erick "Franchise Center" Dampier made all the difference. He's definitely going to get another 7 year, $73 million deal.

We're just losin to the teams we're supposed to lose, no big deal.
We just need to trade a package of Bonner/Mason/Finley for Lebron and we'll be right back in it...

WE FUKKIN SUCK NOW....... PERIOD. LOL I had to say that, most will say it's only this and that, but right now we blow and fukkin suck vs. good or top ten teams! I am the only one who will say this.

The Spurs have a LONGGGG WAYS TO GO to get where they need to be, as of now they are a good team but not a great team by any means.

What a big loss for the Spurs in the standings right when they seemed to catch fire with some impressive wins lately. Once again, they had no answer for Dirk and Terry when it mattered most.

However, not all is lost. I thought San Antonio improved on something they haven't been able to do the last few years. They were more efficient on offense and more up tempo. Without D-Rob they are not the lights out defense that they used to be. They need to be able to match the Mavs offensive efficiency and with Jefferson, McDyess, and Blair it makes them much harder to guard than last years trio of Bonner, Finley, and Gooden. I'm actually a little more worried about San Antonio this year than in the last few years.

Please. Dirk is great, but you don't have to knock down Tim to build him up.

I was partially exaggerating. Personally, I don't like the Mavs at all. I do, however, hate the Spurs more, so confide in The Diggler to take San Antonio down, and he doesn't disappoint.

Then does that make Dallas at the late-90's Minnesota Vikings w/ Randall Cunningham, Randy Moss and Cris Carter stage???

No, I was at the Hornets game. I did see the highlights, though. But like I said before, I was exaggerating.

Tim beat up on him on one on ones and outscored and outrebounded him. WTF are you talking about here? This was hardly near Tims fault, others yes but did you watch it? Did you watch highlights or the game?

those rings from seasons ago arent helping the Spurs much in the current season...can we keep it on the present tense? thank you

I dont think the Dallas Cowboys 5 rings will matter when they play the Eagles on Saturday either

Thank you, as a Spurs fan I say this too! WE won in 07 yes, but after that a loss to LA and then to the Mavs, then this year has been underwhelming! Those rings count those years yes! But now they mean shyt if you cant' compete and we are still fans!

I wish the Spurs would just step up and play like they should with this team, so far they have been FAR from it! FAR FROM IT.

I predict the Nets will win a championship before the Mavs.

Dampier 35
Kidd 37
Nowitzki 32
Terry 33
Marion 32
Thomas 33

And Stern will allow Arenas to win a championship before Cuban's team.

Any team that gives up 42 points in the 4th quarter deserves to lose.
