Really looking forward to that one.

I'm hoping Pop will control his emotions and that Parker will stop messing around.

We have been inconsistent, and because of all the new faces, it's hard to evaluate our team (and it's only January :lol), so even if we beat the Lakers, I'm not sure if it's gonna mean anything

Yes,like he was against The Cavs, the Clippers or the Blazers :lol:lol

The game against the Mavs was the only good game of the Fakers the last month. And now without Pau they are even worse.Without Pau they aren't better than us.That's the truth.

Some of you guys are too damn pessimistic along with just being dumbasses. Dallas historically the last few year has been a team that has the spurs number so I don't take that loss to hard because some teams in this league you just don't match up well with for whatever reason. I actually believe the spurs have a good chance of winning tuesdays game espescially if Gasol doesn't play without him the Lakers are a mediocre team and even with him the last few weeks they have been fairly average. Win or lose I think this game will be close its not going to be a blowout.

Pop will likely try to have his cake-and-eat-it-too and that along with his obsession with playing small ball will likely cost the team. If Pop plays the so-called big four extended minutes and plays McDyess and Ratliff over their averages, I like the Spurs chances. That being said, I suspect he'll be looking ahead to the daunting four-games-in-five-days and do exactly the opposite of what I said.

To me, this game is big for the Spurs psyche and as such Pop should coach this game similar to how he would a playoff game, which means pulling out all the stops. If the big three + McDyess are sapped by game's end, then give them the next game off. I care more about beating quality opposition than I do about scraping out a win against a middle-of-the-road team and the Spurs should to.

I hope we win on Tuesday just to see that we can beat a good team, I am starting to get worried about the Spurs, we have a nice record but the majority of the wins are against bad teams, not really teams we will see in the playoffs when it matters. Some Spurs fans are still saying the same thing "it's only November" "it's only January". Spurs need to pick it up and become a championship calebar team.

from the LA Times:

for the small portion of practice that was open to the media. Although Gasol wasn't made available to reporters to talk about his strained left hamstring that's sidelined him for the last three games, Coach Phil Jackson hopes Gasol will return for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. "He's doing everything without any pain," Jackson said of Gasol.

The spurs have don't done well against LA since the Gasol trade.

I hope the Spurs win. However, I'm not expecting a Spurs victory for the simple reason they can't seem to play well against the upper echelon in the league. What is their record 2-6? That ain't going to cut if the Spurs are going to the playoffs this year. It's troubling but it's still early. Spurs have about 4-5 months to get their act together.

Bryant: 37 shots...32 points...against Portland. And this guy is some people's MVP?

How his teammates haven't strangled him yet is beyond me.

Without Gasol, the Lakers are around a 45-47 win team -- just like they were before the trade. Contrary to what the edia says, Bryant has not learned how to play team ball. That's the biggest myth in sports today.

So the Spurs better take this one.

Actually I find a player such as Kobe even more dangerous having being in a slump. He is one of the top Players in he NBA, the odds are against him having another bad game. Although I hope not, I have a feeling he is going to come out strong and get his game back on track against the Spurs.

Also Players always seem to use the Spurs as their heating up game, and play out of their minds. Even scrub players get in on that...

I will be pulling for the Lakers because with a win especially if Gasol is out, will just be fools gold. The spurs need to add another quality big if they really want to contend this year and a loss will serve better for having that happen.

A win and the fan base will get excited about the roster as it stands then the spurs will be less likely to pull the trigger to add another frontline player.

Will this game really mean anything if the spurs don't add another quality frontline player?

I remember last year all the excitement when the spurs beat the Lakers on a last second shot by Mason. That game didn't mean a thing because the spurs did not address the frontline issues by the time playoff time rolled around.
