View Full Version : Brandon Roy > Kobe Bryant. It's time to face the facts.

MiamiHeat

LeBron's statline for tonight :

13-19 FG's, 41 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists

Brandon Roy's :

14-23 FG's, 34 pts, 4 rebounds, 3 assists

Kobe :

4-21 FG's, 12 pts, 5 rebounds, 1 assist

-------------------------------------------------------

and yet the Lakers win by 18 points.

Kobe's shooting since Gasol is out = 33%

I am also here to say :

Brandon Roy > Kobe Bryant

Roy is much younger and has his whole career ahead of him. He also is more efficient, and can score big numbers with anyone.

Kobe tried but failed sans support of finger splint (http://lakers.freedomblogging.com/2010/01/10/kobe-tried-but-failed-sans-support-of-finger-splint/28247/)

Yes tonight and the other night he's better than Kobe.
Good job. :toast

Yeah everybody is better than Kobe. We get it. :lol

"Kobe Bryant shot 1 for 14 in the first half against Milwaukee on Sunday night. It was enough to get his attention. Bryant put the protective splint back on his fractured right index finger at halftime"

DOH!!!! :rollin

What a freaking moron, starts a dumbshit thread and has no clue.

Kobe should request a messageboard restraining order against your obsessed, stalking ass.

Obsession: when being in love and 24/7 fantasizing just isn't enough.

Hey, don't feel bad

Brandon Roy is overlooked by a lot of people. He didn't play with Shaq and get famous.

Wade and Kobe both owe their super stardom to him

It's a travesty that Brandon Roy is getting such low all-star votes. At this point, he truly is the better player.

Kobe is on the decline, he's 31 and has begun to go downhill. His game is deteriorating.

Roy, on the other hand, is only going to keep getting better

Media hype? LOL. Medical doctors said it's a avulsion fracture.

An avulsion fracture is an injury to the bone in a place where a tendon or ligament attaches to the bone. When an avulsion fracture occurs, the tendon or ligament pulls off a piece of the bone.

Also, a fracture is the same as a break.

Is it a Fracture or a Break?
Despite what you may have heard, a broken bone is not worse than a fracture, they both mean the same thing. In fact, the word fracture, according to the Oxford English Dictionary is defined as "the act of being broken." There are different types of fractures and broken bones, but these words mean the same thing!.

sons its not the popular choice (thanks to the media hyping and pushing Kobe to the top) ... but Brandon Roy is HANDS DOWN a better basketball player than Kobe. I would rank Kobe somewhere between 12-15th best of all active players right now in the WWE.

When Kobe was 25, he's in the 1st team & denfensive 1st team. No way Roy is going to get that.
Kobe is still in his prime and he's getting more skilled, now only the finger's bothering him.

BTW, Pippen >>>>>>>>>>>> Gasol. U know that?

Deteriorating? Kobe was never any good to begin with. He's on par with Harold Miner. Only difference between the two is Kobe got playing time. If Harold Miner got the same minutes and took the same number of shots as Kobe he would have put up 35 PPG in a season too. Kobe was only kept on NBA rosters as a favor to his dad, a former NBA player and Jerry West was pulling the strings behind it all.

3 rounds playoff avg stats:
99-00 Kobe 23.1 pts,4.3ast;Shaq 28.1 pts,14.9Reb
00-01 Kobe 31.6 pts,6.2ast;Shaq 29.2 pts,15.3Reb
01-02 Kobe 26.6 pts,4.3ast;Shaq 26.4 pts,12.7Reb

Reggie Miller once said Kobe was the playoff mvp (he's only in his early 20's), at that time winning the western champion meant winning the finals champion, so you're out of your mind, admit it.

Shaq's numbers during that run was downright ridiculous. there is a reason why he won ALL THREE FINALS MVP's .... the dude single handedly won those titles for the Lakers. Kobe just lucked up to be on the right team at the right time and was a great role player.

It's sarcasm. Obviously you aren't that good at detecting it. Harold Miner was once a dunk champion back in the 90s.

Yes it was sarcasm but it's hard to detect because so many of the people here say things that are just as outrageously stupid and they are not being sarcastic.

Everybody knows the western champion = the final champion at that time. Shaq "single handedly" won those title? Check game 6&7 with blazers (kb blocked Sabonis' shot in g6 and shined in g7) and game 7 with kings (horry big 3). Spurs was easily beaten by lakers, Kome shined :lol

No doubt about Shaq's MVP, just want you to know some facts. BTW those eastern chams were with weak Centers so Shaq "single handedly won those titles"

Robert Horry, Ron Harper, Brian shaw and Fisher would disagree but whatver ...

OH wait BR hornet is the SMARTEST poster on this board ...he is unbiased and wise ...SHAQ was the one who won Game 4 in OT, had the winner over SA and the 50 to eliminate the Kings in the 3 peat years all of the kobe stuff? Just media hype and an illusion ...

BRHornet: Wade couldnt win without Shaq!!!
Miamiheat: face the facts Wade is shooting .001% FG points better in their last game ...Case closed Wade is DEFINITIVELY better you are owned!!!
BRHornet: Son,you are Wade's cuckold ...Look at C3p's PER Hollinger says he is the greatest player ever!!!
Both: Well at least he is better than Kobe!!!

I disagree that Roy is better then Kobe, but I do agree Roy is pretty sick by far the 2nd best SG in the NBA behind Kobe. Props to Roy with all the injuries what he has done with his team. Imagine if the Blazers were out east where crappy teams like the Heat are the 5th seed at .500 and dropping rapidly.

Roy is great man eventually he will be the best 2 guard in the NBA.

I would still say 2nd best 2 guard is wade and Roy is not DEFINITIVELY better than Joe Johnson either ...
IMHO I'd say Kobe has slight edge on wade, who is bit better than Roy who is equal to Roy ....
