Who to pick in this one?
Cards play well on the road this season (6-2) but the pass defense (hello, Michael Adams) looked really lame yesterday. They might get Boldin back at WR, but they really don't need him to be successful. Can the old man keep up his torrid pace throwing the ball?
Saints started out the season like gangbusters but then dropped three straight, including one to the freaking Tampa Bay Succanears. For this team as much as any in the league, getting off to a good start is a key because the franchise's collective psyche is fragile.

I don't care who Dallas plays as long as they can keep winning. I would not mind though, if they won Sunday if they ended facing and beating the Cardinals. I have a friend who for the most part is a nice guy but when it comes to his teams, he is quite the douche. (He's a Suns and Cards fan but lives in Dallas...go figure)

As long as Dallas stays focused and doesn't let the talk of them being the favorite get to their head, they'll beat Minnesota by multiple possessions. I can't look at that defense and find a noticeable weakness to attack. Scandrick, Jenkins and Newman will do a good job on Rice, Harvin and Berrian while Spencer and Ware neuter Minnesota's offensive line.
No, I'm not a Dallas fan :lol, I made a bet with my friend at the beginning of the season and I lose $200 bucks if Minnesota makes the superbowl, so I'm praying Dallas wins.

Redskins and Cowboys were successful against the Saints because of the run. Unfortunately for the Cards, they dont have a running game/RBs are prone to fumbling the ball.
Hopefully, DRC and McFadden can cover the bigger WRs of the Saints.

Cards had 156 yards against the top rushing defense in the league (83.3 ypg) yesterday ...
It was an offensive battle between the Cards and Packs so the yards gained on that game was really hard to believe..like it doesnt reflect the real cards' running game w/c IMO is shit, sloppy gaps by O-line and TO prone. Even RB Hightower doubles as a WR at times just to get a good running start.
Everyone is forgetting that the Saints' D was banged up and I think they're ready to go for this game.
No easy way to the playoffs for every team this year and I for sure will enjoy the last few remaining weeks of the football season.

IMO the biggest factor in this game is AZ being on a short week with NO being fresh. They are just getting owned at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and it's got a lot to do with one team being in a 4 hour game 6 days ago. It's no excuse, this what happens when you lose to teams like SF, carolina and Tennessee so you blow a chance at a bye week.

And the offensive line. Warner has had no time in the pocket.
People are gonna blame the secondary when IMO the secondary has sucked but the front 7 has been just as bad stopping the run and applying pressure. The secondary is gonna get jerked around with play action and flea flickers when they need to come up and help on every running play.

So who do you guys think matches up better for the Saints in the next round?
I'd have to say Dallas myself, even though they lost the earlier meeting

That would require working hard in practice everyday and listening to your coaches.

I agree with DoK, the short week and a hungry-well rested Saints team made this a blowout. I think the saints would have won either way but it would've been much more competitive. Cards with more rest would've put a lot more up on the board but the D which was bad to start with looked just completely JV. I mean you know when your watching and before Brees even gets the hike that it's going to be a big completion-like playing catch.
I would like to see the Cowgirls play the Saints, I think they're rolling also and the D can give brees a whole set of problems. Would definitely be a good game imo. Ultimately now tho Ill root for the Saints to go to the Super Bowl

sons I have to admit I haven't kept up with Matt Lienart's situation at all. why is he still such a flop after 4 years in the NFL? I had always heard he was your typical SoCal, lazy, pretty boy ... but damn.

I'm rooting for the Saints now too since the Niners are sittin' around yet again. I'd like to see New Orleans have something to cheer about, so I guess it's a sentimental pick.
More than anything, I just wanna see some good games.

Good win New Orleans.
I was hoping I could flip to the Suns game and see something better but the Bobcats dropped 42 points in the 1st quarter :lmao

I've never seen a Defense in the playoffs give up back to back 45 pt games. has that ever happened?
